General Sports Trivia

I just pulled up both lists and compared. Simms was the only one that didn't do it in back to back years because he won the Heismann as a JR.

Sabres, give someone else a turn to ask questions. ;)

Q: Who were the only Heisman Trophy winners to also win the NFL Rookie of the Year Award? (Hint, there are 2)
Earl Campbell...1977 Heisman. 1978 NFL RoY
Billy Sims....1978 Heisman...1980 NFL RoY...Didn't bother looking for any more because the question called for two...So I stand corrected.

Did you not see the answer before you posted?

Who is the player who lead the national League in Base hits AND strikeouts..He is the only player to complete this partially dubious fete.

another great guess. But incorrect...
Snider led the NL in hits with 199 but was third in SO's with 79 that same year.. This was the only year Snider led in hits. Snider led the NL in Strikeouts in 1949, '54 and '57

Wow kudos, you know your stuff! :up :)

It's a trick question......

Pitcher Rube Waddell lead the NL in strikeouts and hits allowed in the year 1900. (Never technically said it was a batter.)
