I would call it very similar, especially the "Darkness with Harkness" days. Old Red Wing fans will remember those times. Very similar to the Millen Error. Don't miss them, that's for sure. The Wings have been winning for so long that one forgets those dark, cold nights at Olympia. Attendance was so bad that you could buy $2 nosebleed seats and worm your way down to seats by the ice by the end of the first period, if not sooner. Bad, bad team.
The one thing I remember about those Red Wings teams was the goalie, Jim Rutherford. He was a pretty decent netminder.
