I was checking my Dish account and was looking for the recent programming changes area on the slightly redesigned website and clicked on PPV certificates and noticed that one was issued to me on 8/7/12 and expires on 10/06/12. I never asked for anything in exchanged for the AMC loss so you guys might want to check to see if you may have a free PPV.

Many of us received emails about it around that time.

"Thank you for being one of our most valued customers. To show you how much we appreciate your business, we want to give you a free Pay-Per-View movie. Your account has already been loaded with this Pay-Per-View certificate; all you have to do is log in, redeem your certificate, and enjoy a movie."

Yeah it was nice to use it. That night the wife was bummed the hunger games was sold out at the video rental store by us and we went home and i remembered i had that free movie on my account. It was nice to use that.

OK, I have a question about PPV, which believe it or not, I've never done. Once you order and record it, how long do you have to watch it...without starting then stopping? I have two that will expire on the 31st, but doubt I would be able to just sit down and watch both by then.

None for me. But I had 5 that expired in July 2011.

They did have 6 months half off for HBO & Starz. Not interested. Got too much to watch already.

Depends on what movie company made it. I know when I recorded the fast five ppv, they zapped it pretty quickly ( I would guess just under 30 days), while the new scream movie ppv kept working months later.

Kab it does depend, just like pickone4me I have had some that lasted months, some a month. Some will stay longer on the EHD than on the DVR.

all the porn ppv I ordered is still on my dvr, it has been over a year..lol....if it does not say limited recording I think you have it forever......?

So we're buying a pig in a poke. Not good not knowing what exactly you're getting for your money. But I have so many unwatched Blu-rays, and Amazon Prime free Instant Video, as I'm not much of a market for VOD/PPV/whatever.

I got a couple way back when they used to do the actual paper coupons. But I've never received a single one in my online account.

I ordered Goats last night and wasn't able to use a coupon.. the field that you enter the code in wouldn't open up no matter what I did.

Still ordered it though... and it was a good movie to boot.

I'll take my goats in a nice curry, thank you.

Maybe I'd use a PPV coupon after all, if it was for certain new releases with full surround sound.

dish's star rating system.

How to find a local dish installer?
