So MicroCenter had a sale and I snagged a 2TB WD Elements Portable HDD for $79.99. Cheaper than a similar bare drive. Unpowered, but I’m running it thru a powered hub, with nothing else attached to that hub.
Formatted fine. So I transferred the movie “A Little Princess” to the EHD. No other EHDs plugged into the H3. Transferred fine. Played fine.

And then I tried to move it back. The movie shows up in contents. But pressing the Red button for options to transfer it back to the H3 showed no titles available.
Sigh.
But trying repeatedly eventually brought it into view and it transferred back. And played from the H3. Some magic period of time passed to allow it?
I’m now transferring titles to the EHD, figuring close to four hours. Then I’ll see if it plays nice with my “Movies” EHD being plugged in to the front panel.
