Boy, I'm glad I got that international dish as part of my install. This should be interesting to watch.

Not sure if adding this to your cart during checkout of new service will trigger the installation of the International Dish or not.

Watching a LIVE game right now, England vs Bangladesh on 2028 & 2024. Guess I need to look up how the heck Cricket is played.

478-1 and 479-1 appear to be the HD channels for CricketTicket.




I noticed, even though I only subscribe to EN ESPANOL (which is not on the international dish), MYX and now CricketTicket, I also get these channel.....

2053 CCTV 9 english language channel of China Central TV

2068 GEM NET Philippines inspirational channel.

2183 MHz Worldview ....which seems to be a mix of international channel's programming.


oh yeah, I also just called the regular DirecTV # to order, as the number listed for existing customers seems to be tailored to non-english speaking customers.

Sorry, I'm not sure. I waited a day to post hoping someone else would chime in.

I would think your best route would be to call customer service, tell them you were interested in cricket ticket, which requires the international dish, and see what they can say they can do. Then let us know what they said.

Next match is Saturday....England vs Bangladesh.

I signed up a friend for DirecTV, and just in case anyone is curious.


When I added the FREE 2nd half of Cricket Ticket to the order, it did trigger the 36" dish installation as it showed it in the equipment section with a price of FREE. (I did remove it from his order though as he had no need)

So, if you have a legitimate concern about wanting access to international programming in the future, this is a way to get the upgrade for free.

If you like Cricket, it's nice to be able to take advantage of the free promo and get the dish required as well.
