I also meant to add to my last post that if you want this channel you need to pick up the phone and call DirecTV and/or login to your account online and request the channel. I have not been able to find out from my family what the carriage plan is for this station. They are software geeks though so they are not OPS related. I am pretty sure this would mean more NHL in HD !!!

I thought ESPN2 HD was a part of the deal that was agreed on between DirecTV and Disney/ABC...

It was, but he was being corrected as to it launching 12/06/04 when it says 01/06/05. AND just because it was agreed to be carried that still doesn't mean 100% it will be on the day it launches.
