LOL. So this is a normal window that pops up when I turn the Hoppers on every morning? It means you have connected a multi media device to the USB Port and they want to remind you of it....
OK, thanks. I will try that out when I have chance.I don't have a Hopper and I have not seen anything posted about it that I remember. If it doesn't affect any recordings etc than I guess just clear it each day. The best thing I can think of is to unplug the EHD, restart the Hopper. After the Hopper is up and running plug it back in.

OK, again thanks. One HWS is freed up now. Will get it done.I should have added - after plugging the EHD back in I assume you will get the message, if it has a button to acknowledge the message be sure to to that not just clear it.
No luck Tampa8. Did the procedure on one of my HWSs and this morning when I turned on the Hopper, got the same popup window 852. No big deal, just wonder what's causing it.I don't have a Hopper and I have not seen anything posted about it that I remember. LOL. Going to H3 system soon.My Hopper 3 has an EHD and I never see this message. [KIDDING]My guess is it's a subtle kick-in-the-tenders to get you to switch to the Hopper 3.[/KIDDING]
I see the same message when I cut my Hopper on for the first time each day

Which Hopper do you have?
I have to click the OK button in the 852 popup to get to live TV. So I would think you are not getting the message 852 in your Hopper. My other HWS hasn't gotten the message for about a week now. Just this one Hopper has the issue. I performed the procedure in post #4, but no help.I don't know if the message shows up on my Hoppers when they're powered on because I have manual timers set for them to turn on every morning at 5:30 and tune to the news so they're on and buffered up for skipping commercials whenever I turn on the TV.
How long have you waited without clicking the OK button? Does the message time-out eventually?I have to click the OK button in the 852 popup to get to live TV. I don't know if the message times out or not. I just click OK and the Hopper turns on.How long have you waited without clicking the OK button? Does the message time-out eventually?
Okay. I was just thinking that if you followed JSheridan's advice and set a timer to turn the Hopper on early, then maybe the message would time out by the time you turn the TV on.I don't know if the message times out or not. I just click OK and the Hopper turns on.
No, did not try that.Okay. I was just thinking that if you followed JSheridan's advice and set a timer to turn the Hopper on early, then maybe the message would time out by the time you turn the TV on.
I checked this morning and yes, the message does time out after about five minutes, then the HWS fires up.Okay. I was just thinking that if you followed JSheridan's advice and set a timer to turn the Hopper on early, then maybe the message would time out by the time you turn the TV on.
