Echostar purchases 25% share in Archos?

French gadget site Mobinaute got their hands on the as-yet-unreleased Archos AV700, the plus-size media player with a 7-inch screen. There’s not a whole lot in the post you didn’t already know—USB Host, 100GB hard drive, etc.—but since it’s likely going to be a fairly sought-after product, it’s fun to see some real-world pictures.

And since Echostar just bought a 25% stake in Archos, the new player will be able to pull videos directly off of Echostar set-top boxes via USB 2.0.
 
So is the Dish Network version actually going to be able to do everything that you can on the current Archos models? Will we be able to web browse and do other computer functions?
