seems to me you mention all but Fortec, hmmmI don't think Echostar wants go get rid of FTA manufactures. They want to get rid of manufactures that make FTA boxes with the main intent being to use them for hacks. (i.e. Viewsat, Coolsat, Sonicview, Buzz, Captiveworks, ect.....) I am pretty sure most people know which boxes are meant for the hack market.
Pansat is also not on the list I posted earlier.seems to me you mention all but Fortec, hmmm
by your reasoning all fta irds cept fortec pansat and maybe traxis are only legit fta makers?
Interesting website indeed.Check it out for yourself...

The title of the page is... Echostar Europe - Powering the Free-To-Air Revolution
I kid you not.
Another quote on their HOMEPAGE is this statement...
See we really are beta testers for all this stuff.
Although our core software is extremely adaptable, it’s most important feature is stability.
I love my Coolsat 5000 , it is a great FTA receiver............
Don't know who their target consumer was when they designed it or what their intent was but it has to be one of the best planned out receivers.
If echostar can shutdown all the hacking sites and put a nail in the viewsat sonic view coffin ,
why, as discussed earlier powervu is exclusive to scientific atlanta and some cable systems?yeah i am surprised power vu isnt hacked yet.
