It does make sense to keep D9S hanging around for a while if they can, rather than throwing the satellite away before absolutely necessary. I think that is why they are keeping D8 at 119 also.

I can't remember D9S's transponder plan but knowing how Directv did things I'm guessing it was designed to be capable of standing in for D7S at 119?

If so maybe they could swap it with D8? They'd still have to shut down some of the MPEG2 markets at 119 but they'd be able to prevent Dish from using those transponders.

Massive cleanup of old test/shadow records

The labels for the secondary PBS stations WGBX/44 Boston and KTCI/17 Minneapolis have been updated to A3 SD, but in reality the changes likely happened a while back. (The "GBH 44" feed on WGBX's own signal switched to SD back in 2019 when they needed to make room for WBTS-CD, and regulatory wise GBH 44's HD feed became a subchannel of WGBH. TPT Life switched to SD last October when KTCI's signal converted to ATSC 3.0 and the rest of the TPT channels had to squeeze onto to KTCA's signal)

Longhorn shutsdown tonight at 6pm ET, with an end credits farewell scheduled a few minutes prior followed by a message directing viewers to the SEC Network for next season's Longhorn coverage. The Pac-12 Networks are also shutting down today, The CW picked up the rights for their remaining 2 teams.

NBCU will be providing 2 "Paris Extra" channels for the Olympics that are currently testing on the stream server. They will probably be in the 900s

And if there is an Olympic themed mix channel, will it include the NBC coverage from 9 AM-12 PM ET (from WNBC) that won’t air on west coast affiliates?
