Seattle Kraken announced they are leaving ROOT NW for OTA, signing with TEGNA, games airing on KONG, select few simulcasting on KING5 NBC, KGW NBC in Portland, KREM CBS in Spokane (don’t know yet if they will be on subchannels), and Amazon Prime across the team’s territory… more affiliates to be announced

Looks like we will see some Kraken games instead of all to air on DTV’s NHL CI next season

The networks will never let them pre-empt network programming most nights of the week for the entire fall-spring TV season, so they will primarily be on subchannels in Portland and Spokane. It will probably pre-empt True Crime on their .2 channels

The last spot beam on D9S using TPN 18 was shut down, and the SD duplicates for Chicago on TPN 18 were moved to a National trasnponder on D16 TPN 18. The only active spot beams on D9S today are on TPNs 12 and 20.

Scripps News will be replacing Bounce tomorrow on the secondary Ion LIL stations KILM/64 Los Angeles, WFPX/62 Raleigh, WDLI/17 Cleveland, WSFJ/51 Columbus and WCLJ/42 Indianapolis.

Bounce will still be available via channel 82, and for those not paying attention to the FAST thread, a few weeks ago Scripps News was added to channel 4009 via the app and website.

As of last week, the only spot beams active were on TPNs 12 and 20. Although those transponders have not yet been shut down, tioday's guide data shows only the spot beams for New York and Minneapolis being used, on two transponders using the TPN 20 frequency. This morning I still see a signal on TPN 12, but it is no longer being used by the guide data. I expect one of those two markets to be remapped to a national transponder on TPN 12 and the other transferred to a national TPN 20 transponder on D16 in the next few days. DirecTV will then prepare D9S for transfer to a higher disposal orbit beyond the Clarke belt.

The ex-CW subchannels WJHG-D2 Panama City and KSFY-D2 Sioux Falls have been dropped, along with the test records for KUGF Great Falls and KCBA Monterey-Salinas

9751 MORE (Choice offer) and 9757 GIFT (Extra Innings on Us) are now live

The SD locals for Dallas, Detroit, Greenville, Phoenix, San Francisco and St. Louis are now pointing to the slate.

For some reason, the offline FOXWeather test record is a little unusual. It does not state what satellite it's on at 101, and it's on TID 0, TPN 0.

No, actually if you use Excel or other OPENXL compatible spreadsheet program to look at the spreadsheet, the TID and PID are empty, not 0. That APG object is like one that showed up a couple of weeks ago in an Engineering test record. It is a new form of an APG binary object that we have never seen before. As far we can determine so far, there is no TID or PID in that object. There may be more information that our APG binary decoding expert has not figured out how to decode.

The TPN is empty, too. With an empty TID, there is no way to calculate the TPN.

It's curious to me that Minneapolis has somehow survived all the way to the end of this project. I understood NY, due to both size and, I presume, that the SD locals are used in commercial environments - airplanes particularly.

This morning TPN 12 from 101 is a National beam, and the Minneapolis SD duplicate locals have been remapped to it from their Spot beam on TPN 20. That leaves only one spot beam transponder active on D9S, a beam using TPN 20, feeding New York City. That could easily be switched over to D16 at any moment.
