BUSTED! Deflategate: Pats deliberately did it!

Break the rules again, get caught again, get punished again.

What's not to understand?

Kraven, you just can't win with science deniers. It's been proven over and over again that the balls were not actually "deflated".

My kids learned the ideal gas law in Junior High, it's amazing it takes a reputable think tank to explain Junior High science.

The punishment has nothing to do with the crime and everything to do it Goodell proving he is not a Kraft stooge to all the owners. As far as I know, unless I have missed something, not a SINGLE OWNER has come out against Goodell and alot of QBs have done the same and have admitted it(after the fact of course). And finally, Kraft has given up on the fight, if I am not mistaken because I am sure Goodell talk to him, showed him why and basically either made a deal or knows it might be a lost cause.

You're raising some good points. A lot of former QBs went on record saying it shouldnt be a big deal and most of them wouldn't be able to tell the difference in pressure. IIRC, Vince Young said a lot of QBs did it in his time.

As for the owners...it seems their playing it safe by not commentating to protect their players from post-Ray Rice executioner Goosell in future screw ups.

Regarding Goosell and Kraft.....am willing to bet the farm a deal or understanding was agreed upon.

Oh the ruling is stupid as hell. But it IS a rule. Just like the Tuck Rule was... I had to swallow the bitter pill like ALL Raider fans.

How long is Goodells contract ?
Do the Owners vote to keep him or get rid of him afterwards ?
Does the players assoc have a vote ?

His contract runs through 2018

It would take a vote of 3/4 of the owners to remove him from office before his contract expires.

No.

Let me see if I have my facts straight...the Patriots beat the Colts 45-7 in the January 18 AFC title game and the sole reason--generated by the cry-baby losers, no doubt--was due to the balls being deflated by a pound or two.

It was a literally a couple of ounces or so, even worse to make a big deal about. And now studies with no connection to the NFL, Patriots, or any interest in making someone look bad or good, are lambasting the Wells report and it's conclusion.

Football is not my favorite sport, and the Patriots are one of two or three football teams I like so I have less passion than a true fan would have. I can not see in that Wells report how you get to the point that Brady told them to deflate the ball after the Refs have checked them before the game, or any indication whatsoever he even intended let alone told them to under deflate them. In fact there is solid proof he wanted to be sure the Refs knew the minimum allowed. (Messages from a Jets Game)

The NFL shouldnt have been exempt in the first place.

The reason they did it was because now they don't have to report this a$$hole's salary.

With the latest of many unbiased, completely independent reports this time from Science News, leaks are rampant Brady will accept nothing short of no punishment. In addition he will ask for a statement that the Wells report does not have enough evidence to be conclusive of any wrongdoing, let alone by Brady. He would accept that some procedures considered normally followed may not have been the day of that playoff game and nothing more.

I can see virtually no scenario where a Court case favors the NFL here, just as it did not in past legal suits. Again, if anything I see some proof or "leanings" that Brady actually insisted the balls be within limits, at the bottom of the limit, and went to far as to instruct the rules be posted for the refs to see.

"If I can deal with him, this hearing should be a nat that I swat away."

Kraft will stop it before it goes to court. He is decided to stop fighting this. WHY? Yo no se("I don't know" for the hispanically impaired... ;-) ) IS there a deal in place already, maybe. I say even money Brady will get NONE of the above and serve some, if not all of the suspension.

Absolutely not. Two very very different things. Kraft is an owner of the organization he would be suing. Brady is NOT. He is a member of the Player's Organization. The same organization that (correctly) advised Brady under no conditions to give his phone info to anyone. The same organization that has successfully sued in Court and won. This is about an employee losing money and and being accused with the flimsiest of "evidence" in fact nothing showing Brady ever asked for or knew footballs would be deflated either below the minimum, or after a Ref inspected them. And as now evident, with no science behind the accusations, in fact science supports Brady in this.
This is not even really related to the team's dispute with the NFL, if it was Brady would have been included with the team's sanctions, he was not he was singled out.

Why was he singled out? Because this is a labor dispute, and no, Kraft will not intercede and in fact can not.

I think Kraft wants him to go to court, in all honesty. He wants a judge to rule that the Wells report is garbage. If that happens, which most legal experts think it will. Kraft will than go to Rog and say "Now about that 1st round pick". I don't think they'll get it back but it will make the commish look really bad.

Could be, but I doubt it and I will tell you why. I would not be surprised he got "feelers" about the situation from other owners and they more than likely told him it would look too much like favoritism is he got this lessened by more than half. I still think this has MORE to do with Brady not cooperating and not looking like Kraft's puppet than to do with this BS rule concerning the weight of the footballs.
