SIRIUS SATELLITE RADIO RENEWS WITH BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE®

He will continue hosting popular weekday afternoon program on channel Howard 101

New York– December 10, 2007 - Radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge® has renewed his contract with SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) to continue hosting his uncensored afternoon talk show on channel Howard 101.

The Bubba the Love Sponge Show features several co-hosts and is regularly visited by stars from the worlds of sports, comedy, and music. It is broadcast live Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm ET on Howard 101 from Bubba’s studio in Tampa, Florida.

"We launched the radio revolution with Howard Stern, and I am grateful he brought me to SIRIUS,” said Bubba the Love Sponge®. “We will continue to do uncensored, groundbreaking radio on Howard 101.”

“We are happy Bubba has renewed with SIRIUS,” said Scott Greenstein, SIRIUS’ President, Entertainment and Sports. “Bubba has steadily created an enthusiastic national fan base since he launched his show on Howard 101. That fan base will continue to expand on SIRIUS.”

Bubba the Love Sponge® (the nickname that he legally adopted and trademarked in 1999) is a top-rated on-air personality whose career has included stations in Terre Haute, Grand Rapids, San Antonio, Chicago, Philadelphia, Orlando, Milwaukee and Tampa Bay. In 2001, his show became syndicated in multiple markets. In addition to receiving several national Billboard awards, he was named the national Active Rock Personality/Show of the Year for 2002 and 2003 by the trade publication Radio & Records. In 2005, Howard Stern recruited him to join SIRIUS Satellite Radio.

Some of the best news I've heard all year!! AWESOME!!

I'd call it far from uncensored though. Sirius Corp has shot down all kinds of stuff from the show.

Wow he bumped Cowhead, eh? The irony!

Looks like he'll be on in the mornings M-F. I wonder if the Friday Sirius show is moving to afternoons?

Curious to see the outcome... double shows. How much is it going to impact the Sirius show...how much content is going to be used on both shows....how watered down will it be.... etc. I'm sure there's a clause about if Bubba racks up $750,000 fines again he's paying them. That's a long time to be on air everyday! And they thought the two back to back Thursday PM and Friday AM shows were bad!

Hope they have the online stream going during his shows in the AM. They might not after the Bubba Army melts their server down.

From What i heard on the Stern Show....Bubba was at odds with Sirius about not letting him do "shock the puss", etc. I wonder how is he going to handle terrestial radio where there are more rules.

If a terestrial network is signing him it sounds like testing the waters to see what they can get away with. I used to listen to BTLS but have had to turn away from him mostly because of the kid but Im also not in the car when he's on, still I like him and think he's a better show than howard.
