Any one else losing satellite lock since 4.01

When ever I go into the sat dish menu to check a transponder it is defaulted to 105 sat - which I do not have. I have a dish 1000.2 that looks at 119/110/129/61.5. I have to manually turn the sat in the menu to the proper one because it no longer will go there by itself. I consider this the reason for the lost locks. They broke something in with the 401 software that has caused this lost locks problem.

The first time I went to point dish 6-1-1 my system froze and I had to do a soft reboot. When it recovered it worked fine and i only saw the sattelites I should get. Never saw 105.

Mike and Randall.

Do you have 129 and 61.5? I'm kind of noticing a pattern here. This only happens when I switch to a channel that is on either 129 or 61.5. I can tune between OTA, 110, 119 just fine, but when I tune to NGHD or Starz, it either takes forever or defaults to 105, change sats and then it scans for available satellites and I have to reboot. Works for awhile then starts all over again. No rpoblems on my 622 with 3.66 or my 211. I even changed ports on the switch with the 211 and changed out separators.

I have both 61.5 on a side sat dish plugged into the 1000.2 sat dish which has 110/119/129 sats. When ever I go to check a transponder on any channel I am looking at , it seems to default to the 105 sat -which I don't have. The sat will show ; not locked wrong satellite in red under the sat strength meter, but it will show the right sat on the same line in red. IF you then manually turn the satellite that you are looking for to the one in red for example 61.5 sat , it will then turn green and show locked. IT no longer will turn to the right satellite by itself. Everytime the satellite changes to a different channel, it can't show it in the dish point screen by itself , which I believe causes the lost locks. I had 29 and 38 lost locks on both tuners today.

Do you have the same set up as I Do , a dish 1000.2 with 119/110/129 and a side sat for 61.5 plugged into it as well?

Mike,

I have a D1000 with a 61.5. I am only having problems tuning to 5 channels, 9419, 9425, 9427, 9429, and 9435. When I go to 611 I also get a default to 105 (don't have), change sats, and it scans for available sats. It takes about 10 seconds to tune to those 5 channels.

LNB drift gone?

I just ran sys info test again and now the LNB drift is completely gone. It seems that it may be related to outdoor temp. This afternoon it was up to 72 outside w/ no wind which means where my 129 dish is localed the LNB would have been much warmer. The temp I estimate in that area would have been closer to 80-85. It is now 55 outside and there is 0 drift. Tomorrow after I get home from work will try to chk the info again. It is going to be in the upper 80's, maybe even a record hi for the area. After the shows I'm recording tomorrow I will ck drift then (9 p.m.). Should still be above the hi today.

I think that this is all related to the L401 software. I had no problems with lnb drift or check switch runs before the software downloaded. I can't check to tell you if I have a similar problem because right now my channels are defaulting to 129. Last night it was defaulting to 61.5 when I checked. There is no ryhme or reason to which satellite my hd will come off of , but I think which ever satellite is stronger at the time in signal strength on that channel, is what it goes to.
