i'll read that later but that doesn't make you a fan boy. A fan boy is someone who will blindly defend a company no matter what it does. If you knew me better around here you would realize that I'm one of the few that will tell you how it is respectfully. You don't sound like a fan boy either. Things change and yes maybe in the future D will turn into another E but i really hope it doesn't. It's getting harder everyday to find at least decent customer service

I hear that. Most places make you wait 30 minutes or more to speak to them. I mean damn, you got work, people to meet, yet the damn company expects you wait on them!

I don't care about VOOM, I was using it to dispute his argument that E added more HD this year.
I don't think Curtis misses Voom , I think he was just using it as an example of E* dropping channels.
WOW 170 posts in a span of 24 hrs. GO TO WORK PEOPLE!!!!! Anyways let me put in my 2 cents in this forum. At this point I have every HD channel that I want since I am a sports fan. The only thing at this point will dissappoint me is if other providers add National HD channels. And since that is not happening I am satisfied, adding HD LIL's in other markets is a good thing since more subscribers would be added and more subscriber mean more $$$$$ and more $$$$$$ mean more HD channels.
I'm sorry about that. He knows about it. I mentioned how nice it was that day when they gave us all that new HD with voom still present and the next day i woke to find a bunch of missing channels again. That was crazy no doubt. I've never heard of D doing such thing but it's a common practice with E
i too would be disappointed if someone else started adding a bunch of channels ahead of D. Until then we're fine.
Its cheaper to order a ppv than to drive to the buckbuster when you figure in time + gas + wear and tare + cranky kid/wife.
Maybe not in your market, but in my market both cable (Bright House Networks) and FIOS are making their moves. How do you think I feel about this.... (look at the premium HD offerings on page two of the PDF)... this is what is coming Oct 7th to my market from Verizon FIOS.

Notice all 26 HBO/MAX channels. Notice Travel Channel HD. Notice Fox News HD. And the picture quality is better on FIOS than cable or DirecTV.
Don't get me wrong. I like DirecTV. I just feel that I certainly pay enough (about $150/month) that I should be getting more for my money. I do like their DVR. I am not sure why people complain about the DirecTV DVR, because it sure beats cable. It may not be Tivo, but it is pretty good. I just want some more channels.
And see, I am working from home today, trying to run a business (and play on here), and all I hear is noise from the workers outside digging the FIOS trenches.
So, maybe you get everything possible in your location, but can you see why I am annoyed?
They don't have NBATV in HD that alone will make me stay with D* since I am a huge NBA Fan. But overall I do see that Fios has all HBO and Max HD channels, but if Fios was available to everyone than I would be a little frustrated but since Fios is available to maybe 10% of US I am not to worried when D* adds them.
In YOUR opinion of course .. i wouldn't watch Fox news HD at all - in fact it probably would not even make my fave channel list .... Travel on the other hand certainly would ... as always - just because YOU think something is more valuable than something else ... does NOT mean that it is.
