Amusing Dish Retention Offer

As many of you know, I did not renew Dish at the end of my agreement. No dissatisfaction, just free cable.

So, today, I get this 'We Make A Good Team' post card. It was a pretty good deal... $10 off a month for 12 months, HD For Life, and then (this is the odd part) a free upgrade to an SD DVR. Seems like if you are giving me HD for Life, you might want me to have a receiver that can view it.

Just figured I would share.

When I left they called me 3-4 times. They were even willing to pay my early termination fees at DTV to come back. The Fox Sport Regionals loss was the last straw as I was missing hockey games. I had just too much of DN for now and needed to try something different for a while.
