AL EAST 2009

Yankees get their first hit with two out in the fourth.

Their first and ONLY hit against Beckett! What a great game. Beckett was awesome. 6 IP, 8 strikeouts, 2 walks, 1 hit, and NO RUNS!
I have so many family/friends that are Yankees fans. They have been telling me it would be a totally different matchup this time with A-Rod back. The only difference I saw A-Rod make last night, though, was a big fat error! :D

Man, if the Yankees had any decent record vs Sox they'd be running away with the Division.

I was saying the same thing this morning.

The Sox may be 6-0 against the Yanks, but that just means the Yankees are six games better than the Sox against the rest of the league.

The usually unhittable Razor Ramon Ramirez gives up back-to-back homers to Damon and Teixeira, but Oki comes in to close the door...................Sox 6, Yankees 5..... bottom of 7th

Sox 6, Yankees 5..... bottom of 7th

And that scores holds up as a final.

BTW, VERY crucial play- A-Rod draws a walk, his punch runner steals second, and the ball nearly goes into the outfield. Had the 2B not kept the ball from getting way out of the infield, he may have gotten to third.
