AL EAST 2009

Not just last season.....I think I can remember a few brawls between these two teams from a few seasons back (when Pedro was with the Sox)

NESN was going to show the game at the Trop when Pedro one hit the Rays 8-0 when there were a couple of fights. Its too bad when the Sox won the first title that it wasnt vintage Pedro. I mean when you have a pitcher as dominant as he was and always come up short, it stinks.

How about Johan throwing a 1 hitter through 6 against the Reds! Woah!
:D

That chipmunk faced a$$ wearing No. 25 for the Yankees was HEARTILY booed by the Camden Yards crowd when announced and when he took his first AB. He flied out to center. :)

He is a MD homeboy.

Now that KCK got his "chipmunk" quote in the right forum, I'll ask the same response:

I am a bit surprised that it's Oriole fans who are booing. Do they still harbor the bitterness of that 30-run game?

Welcome back baseball!!!! :)

You guys are all over Shields. Mid season form already!!!1:eek:

KCK,
In your opinion who's the best starter on the Rays staff: Shields, Scott Kazmir or Matt Garza?

IMO, it's Garza, but I was just curious who you thought was. :)

BTW, by next opening day the answer to that question will be David Price.

Definitely Garza although Shields has some serious stuff. Garza just has ice in his veins. I agree with you on Mr. Price.

I completely disagree with you guys...I think its:

1. Shields
2. Kazmir
3. Garza

Agree on Price except I think he'll be #1 by the end of this season.

Real nice start for Beckett today, 7 IP, 1 ER, 10K, 3BB, 93 pitches.

I also liked the balance out of the Sox lineup; everyone got at least one hit, except for Ellsbury....

Yup, nice way to start the season! :up Nice to see the captain get off to a good start.

I'm really interested to see how Francona handles the bullpen early on. Will the eighth belong to Okajima? Or will he rotate Okie, Saito and Masterson? What about Delcarmen and Ramirez?

I'm sure all this will shake out by the end of April.

My Two Cents on Alex Ovechkin

OK....the kool-aid has worn off....BENCH JaMarcus Russell!!
