I once caddied for a guy named Aubrey...WWII vet who landed at Normandy, ran a commercial building company, and owned several malls and other business interests...but it's certainly not a popular name these days.

For you Tiger bullpen bashers, last night Rod Allen said the Tiger's are 55-0 when leading after 8 innings! Whenever you can shorten a game by an inning is good for the win column. Pitching will be our salvation. I like the starting rotation right now.
How good is Porcello going to be in 5 years? And he is doing it right now without a curveball. Just a fastball, slider and change-up, add the breaking stuff and this kid is going to be phenomenal.

Ugh, nice start for our latest RBI machine Huff, he left 5 men on base yesterday night. Looks like he fits right in with the rest of our hitters.
55-0, Did he say how many we had to come back to win after Rodney came in and coughed up the lead or a tied game.
How many times had Rodney given up the tying run when the Tigers came back to win in the bottom or in extra innings ....Rodney does NOT get the loss if they come back in extra innings.
Well, it's August 19th and we're getting into the final stretch of the season. You gotta like the Tigers simply because they hold a 2-game lead and play 5-more home games than Chicago to complete the season. Regardless, their forray into the post season will be a short one if they don't start winning on the road.

Tigers need to get the O going and Soon.
They need to rip off a 8-2 or 9-1 10 games stretch and spread this thing out.
Like to see them open up about a 5 game lead or so.

I don't post much about my Injuns anymore, seeing I am still reeling with what the front office has done to my team, but I did find this event to be noteworthy.......

Unfortunately, my brother-in-law will be missing this promotion by a week. He is due to come home from Kuwait for a quick break in 7 short days, before deploying back to his 2nd stint in the war. Can't wait to get you home again buddy! And thanks to all the troops for your service! We appreciate you efforts and dedication!

The Angels' radio broadcasters have mentioned at both games this week how totally different it feels this year calling a game @ Progressive Field. They said the only area where there apppears to be some passion and feeling is around the well-known bass drummer and a new area of collective men called "Grady's Guys"!!!!. They said it has been quite some time since they felt this lack of enthusiasm in Cleveland. However, they HAVE been quite fairly touting the young prospects that are now playing.
In related news, Progressive Field has been renamed..... wait for it....... REGRESSIVE FIELD!!!!

What a nice come-from-behind victory by the Tigers after being down 4-0 and again 6-2 against the Mariners. They pick-up a half game over the idle White Sox. Of course, it's back on the road and where they have performed woefully this season.
