AL CENTRAL

The Indians were trailing the Rays 10-0 in the 4th, 10-2 after 7 and 10-4 after 8. The Tribe then proceeded to score 7 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win 11-10!:eek::eek::eek:

The Rays have now lost 14 straight in Cleveland!

They're jinxed- it's like the Mavericks in Denver or the Hawks in Boston.

I hope this comeback serves as good karma for my Cavs tonight! Comebacks are in the air I tell you!

Game 1 is done with ....
Not to worried about what we wish for anyways, KC's on the schedule, like Paul said the Tigers are pitching well for the most part (Starters).

btw,
Game one goes to the Tigers 13-1 ....
Grenke is pitching lights out, but so are some of the Tiger Pitchers, have you looked at Verlander's numbers of late ... last week he was like .39 over his last 4 starts.
Today he gave up a run, his ERA will go UP

His ERA is 0.85 over his last 6 starts. Cy Young material.

That has to be one of the biggest comeback's in MLB history. Maybe your guys will use this as a springboard to get back in the race. Picking on the Tribe got boring already.:D

2nd actually. The greatest comeback happened in August of 2001 against the Mariners. My Tribe came back from being down by 12 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning!

*PS, I watched that game live on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball the whole way through.

P.S.S. I'll even go ya one better...I remember that Joe Morgan was off that night (maybe at HOF induction) and Jon Miller was ragging on Joe missing the finest ESPN SNB game ever. He even took it into the following Sunday's game and kept telling Joe about what a game he missed. (Why in hell I remember that, I'll never know!!!) And in my mind's eye I see Eddie T scooping somebody up at home plate in celebration.

Cy Young is not a verb. Example - "Verlander Cy Younged the Indians twice this season."

See how that doesn't seem to work.:D

I was merely pointing out that Verlander is pitching like a Cy Young Winner. The verb in that sentence would be "pitching".:D

Given the track record of both Verlander and Grienke, I expect Verlander to more likely be in the running for award consideration at the END of the season. Having seen Verlander twice this season, I suspect you may know what I am talking about.

Yeah, that game was one of the ones where you'll always remember where you were when you saw it.

Me, I was at an ol' timers bar with my old man watching on a little 13" screen. The closer the Indians came to chipping away at that lead, you could almost start to sense they were destined to win that game. I'll always remember how exciting it was to overcome that deficit. What a game!

Don't remember where I was during that game. Come to think of it, I don't remember watching that game. Hell, I don't even remember 2001 for that matter.:D

Not to discount Verlander, but you have to look at the whole body of work, not just the most recent starts. With that said, Grienke is still the #1 candidate for the Cy Young Award.

At this point in the season, Yes, but I don't expect Grinke to be THIS good all year.

OK, who actually PLAYS sports?

Shaq once had a video game of his own- a fighting game!
