Jackson saves the day !!!

Valverde couldn't be much different from last year to this year.
Last year he was nearly automatic...
This year, he'll get 2 out and then fall asleep.

Yea when I saw the ball leave his bat I thought that would be trouble

Other than that leadoff HR, JV had me relaxing comfortably in my seat all evening...then came Valverde. After the first two outs I was feeling pretty good. Three hits later I'm puckered so tightly you would have thought I just drank a quart of pickle juice. Thank goodness Jackson ran that one down in center.

:happydance:

Another great performance from Verlander and an exciting win for the Tigers. It looks like we are in for an exciting September race.

Tigers and Indians tomorrow ... 1 pm
Sanchez on the mound for the Tigers and he's looked MUCH better the last few times out for the Tigers.

White Sox and Twins in the evening.

This is why I knew losing the Thursday game was big for the Sox. Went into Detroit tight knowing that they could be tied if they got swept again. Last time they were swept in Detroit, came back real hot the next 10 days or so, got to hope for the same thing again. Sox have played well against Mn this year, need to get back on the winning track and then pay back the Tigers in Chicago.

I have a feeling that the Sox will take 3 of 4 next week, thus being right back where we were ....

Then again, I didn't see the Tigers winning 2 this past weekend seeing they were playing so poorly coming in.

For those of us located in Michigan the sox game Is available in the clear on the MLB Network ALT channel at 7:00. People in other areas might get the Padres at Dodgers on the main channel. I plan on watching at least part of the game.
