Yes, but you can't dismiss sitting with your feet flat on the ground or your legs crossed. If you legs are crossed are they crossed at the knee or the angle? Also, is it left over right or right over left? If you feet are both on the deck, are you leaning forward with pressure toward your toes or are you on the balls of your feet? So it's not just about sitting in your two favorite spots...it's the 2-million other possibilities that go along with it. Oh, and let's not get into if you're drinking with your left or your right hand, where you're setting your drink, and how long and how often you're permitted to quaff, sip, drink or chug your favorite beverage.

Nah, none of the above matters.

I love the trade. Despite his win/loss record Sanchez is no slouch either.

I like the Infante part ....

Not sure about the other half, don't know much about Sanchez.
I don't think he's a #2, the line of pitcher they should have been looking for.

I think Dempster was about the only one that would qualify of the group out there though.

I think his situation is similar to Doug Fister's last season. He had similar numbers to Sanchez. His win loss record is bad because he is on a bad team but his other numbers are decent. I think he will start getting a lot more wins with the Tigers offense behind him than he was in Miami. I'm not going to say he will come in and be as good as Fister was last year because he was incredible as a Tiger but I do think we maximized what we could get for one prospect. We filled two needs with one prospect. We finally have a real second baseman and we got another decent starting pitcher. In my opinion this will prove to be a good move by Dombrowski.

Tigers appear to be putting it all on the line for "winning now" by giving up Turner and 2013 draft picks for Infante and Sanchez. So, good move or bad move? Offhand, I think this move is a short-term gain, long-term loss. Sure, I love gaining 70 or 80 points at the plate, but Turner showed promise and losing our top draft draft picks will hurt...it will hurt a lot. Plus, we didn't get enough help on the mound IMO. We're playing a dangerous game of "win now" because we could be in a lot of trouble in 4-5 years. We shall see...

Go Tigers!

I disagree,
Yes, the Tigers are going for Broke this year (and probably next) , Mr. I is getting up in age.

Good move, bad move ?
Great move.
They now HAVE a 2b, they went from LAST of all 2b positions in offense to 9th with one simple move of picking up Omar.

Giving up Turner .... he has never impressed me. they have given up prospects for known commodities before.

They gave up Miller and Maybin (?) for Cabrera, when Cabrera was just starting to be a Star ...

They will definitely be screwed 4-5 years from now, as contracts need to be reworked, but thats the cost of going for it, unless they work some magic and continue to work the payroll limitations.

I hope you're right...except for the being screwed 4-5 years from now. ;)
