AL Central 2010

Now my thoughts...oh well
Its game what 88 or something like that? I'm not worried. Remember last year the Twins were 8 out at the break and won the Central.

Its not how you do in June and July...its how you finish

Now Morneau being out a few more days isnt good. He's skipping the ASG...So if Girardi was smart he'd start Cabrera there ;)

Weird to see Slowey in relief today...guess the days off makes sense to have him pitch

I'm not pleased with how the Twins are playing, but you're right. I too am more worried about Morneau right now. I think the Twins will right the ship after the break.

It would be better if they started doing it tomorrow.

Nah, I think they would be much better suited to have the break to try and figure things out !

The Tigers also need a break to figure out how to win on the road. My money is on the Stockings, who are solid on the road, if they don't move their road record closer to .500.

However the Stocking are very average at home.
You have to be able to Dominate at home or at least close to dominate.

The Sox are currently 26-19 at home, which is not bad at all, however they were 17-19 a few short weeks ago, till they went on this long winning streak.

Well...the Stockings are currently hot, but I am always more concerned about the Twinkies based on their past performance of finishing out the season strong. Offhand, I cannot recall the last time the Tigers won a road series. This fact has me more concerned than anything the Twinkies or Stockings are doing.

I won't be in front of the tube for this afternoon's games, but this almost seems like a must win for the Twins. They should have a pretty good opportunity with young Mr. Oliver taking the mound. Out west I see that Greinke is taking the mound for KC - if only the Royals can scroe a few runs.

S! I just tuned-in and noticed the score. I see Mr. Oliver getting on a bus and heading back to Toledo tomorrow morning.

I agree, he hasn't pitched as well as most would have thought from what I've seen.

Porcello will/ should be/ rumored to be back for next Saturday's DH.
Unfortunately he Hasn't pitched that well down on the farm, THAT is quite puzzling to me.

Good win for the Twins. Pavano has been good, especially when they really need him.

Second half will be interesting if the Twins and Tigers get a little more consistent and the White Sox (I throw up a little every time I type that name) come back to earth.

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
