Listen...I'm back-and-forth between 100 and humid in Virginia and 105 and hot as hell in Texas...so I would kill for a 90 degree Ohio/Michigan visit. I'm still looking for the perfect job where I work 6-months of the year down in TX and the other 6-months up in Canada (Ontario), but knowing my luck I would be working the summers in TX and the winters in CA.
Anyway, it's back to your regularly scheduled Tigers-Twins thread. Fair-weather Sux fans need not bother us.
Pitching may be keeping them in games now, but over all they have given up more runs than they have scored. (-4)

Just noticed that Tigers And Sox both have a +3 difference between runs scored and runs allowed.
I noticed that too.
Tigers pitching staff can be very dominating one day and very explosive the next.
The Sox on the other hand was suppose to be carried by thier staff.
Sox were at -49 June 8, so for the last month, they have been carried by their staff. For some reason, this team really played the 1st 2 months., then hit the streak. Now they are playing a bit more like I expected them too. If they stay at the pace they're playing now (6-4 in their last 10), that would give them a 91-92 win season. That would either win the division, or be right in it until the end.
Sadly, that may be true. Mama says, "The AL Central is like a box of chocolates. You never what you're gonna get...and it's always messy."Soon it can be a Tigers/Twins debate about fighting for 2nd place behind the Sox
I love Boesch, but it's hard to image anyone surpassing Mark Fidrych as the Tigers all-time fan favorite Rookie of the Year. That summer was magical.

I think that it goes without saying, that whoever wins the Cliff Lee sweepstakes, will win the Central.

Only team in the Central that really has a chance at him are the Twins, so I hope he goes to the NL.
