AL Central 2010

exactly!

They showed a graphic that was interesting. Since the beginning of 09 the Yankees were 71-2 last year and 21-1 this year (before today) when leading after 6

make that 21-2 ;)

Nice couple of series for the Tigers, they came out good after Yankees and Sox

Yes, lets hope they don't get complacent ....

Interesting few days coming up this week.

They start a 2 game set with the Wh. Sox (2 games is ODD) and also the second game is Tuesday at 1 pm, quite odd for a day game on a Tuesday.
Then move on to Oakland for only 2 games and one of them on Thursday is a DAY game as well .... then on to the stupid Interleague games against the Dodgers for 3.

I guess I shouldn't complain at least they are not all late night games !

Also the Tigers historically have done very well in interleague games.

I doubt that it has anything to do with the start of IL games, seeing they are both playing 2, 2 game series ....

Take a camera with you and ENJOY this new phenomena, Outdoor baseball !!! :D

I haven't seen the schedule, but day games are scheduled before a team leaves for the road. May that be the case here?

It never fails, Tigers/White Sox were supposed to play tonight but it was rained out. Double header tomorrow.

Did not hear that they were doing the DH tomorrow yet ...

Then again, I haven't looked lately either.

Rain pushes Porcello back to Tuesday
Monday's opener vs. White Sox postponed

By Jason Beck / MLB.com

DETROIT -- For the second time this homestand, heavy rains have forced the Tigers to postpone a game. This time, it was Monday night's opener of a two-game series against the White Sox.

No makeup date was announced, but it's expected to take place later in the season when the White Sox are back in town. The Tigers are scheduled to fly to Oakland after the getaway game Tuesday afternoon, when there's also chance of rain. Whenever a makeup game is announced, tickets for Monday's game will be good for that contest, with no ticket exchange necessary.

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
