AL Central 2010

It was completely the Royal decision. Don't think the rules allow them to JIP the game if it starts in FOX exclusive time period. To top it off, they were both extra inning games. I think it ended a little ofter 1 AM, then they come back 12 hours later to play again. They'll have played 3 games between the Angels/Twins games.

Biggest problem with this whole thing is the effect on pitching. Kills the Bullpens. Umps knew the rain was coming Friday night and still started the game. Bad decision.

actually it can but for folks on EI its blacked out until the window ends. A month or so ago the Cards played the Brewers and it started at 5:30 local time on a Saturday. The 1st half hour was blacked out on EI but the local markets saw it.

yep old Big Boy Joe West knew it. I saw the highlight of the lighs of the partial bank of lighs go out and Joe wanted to delay the game and the announcers said that Friday they got 1/2 inning + 2 batters before it was stopped

"Old Joe West killed 2 arms that night"

Tigers are making their move.

Well it was fun for a half of the season.

Going to Comerica Tuesday and Wednesday.Wednesday will be with my 5 year old son, Chet. His first trip to Comerica. Probably be more special for me than him. He still talks about his first football game, and shaking Eli Manning's hand, though. So I hope I'm wrong, and that he remembers this for a long time.

It's very difficult for a team to win Both games of a DH.

Agreed, but, you get a team like the Royals down 5-1 in the 7th you have to close it out. Ozzie didn't go to the pen like he would have on a normal day because of the DH and a reliever having to start game 2.

Yea....there hot now!, but the Baseball trip with the Son I am sure will be a fun one

No, but when 1 has to be a starter and 2 are iffy because of injuries, it limits what you can do. Pena pitched 7 innings on a emergency start out of the pen, yesterday Jenks pitched 3 innings for the first time in many years.

I don't think they ever had interest in Inge, they have a good hitting 3b.

All the talk from Inge was that he was gonna hit much better when his knees got healthy and he did for a short while, but it was only for about 3 weeks, then he went back to hitting lousy and striking out alot, he almost struck out once a game, thats pathetic.

Once a sh!tty hitter, always a sh!tty hitter. He has his moments, but I'm with you, great glove, no bat. I haven't seen anything resembling improvement since the surgery. He looks the same to me. If wasn't told he was hurt last year, I would never had known.

Tigers look like a team that needs to rebuild.

Damon, Guillen, Ordonez, Inge, Bonderman, etc. all either gone, going or possibly out.

I mean look at each position and tell me who's the starter???

Miguel Cabrera, Valverde, Shearzer..and.....Verlander.

So we have one position player two starters, a closer and not much else.

Maybe next year, it's two years later possible if this team can't be put back together next year.

This team has been rebuilding since '06 and to a larger extent '85

I think they will sign Ordonez.
They've needed a SS and a Catcher for years.

You left A. Jackson off your list of players to keep.
He'll definately be back in CF and deservedly so.

So you have a 1B, CF and a few pitchers.
Chances are they will keep Peralta as he has played no worse than those he replaced.
I can see them trying Rhymes at 2B next year, they try a different youngster every year it seems.
Boesch will be back next year, somewhere.

Damon could very well be back next year as well, if they could only find a DH position for him.
