That was a tough loss to take..They waste yet another great outing for SCherzer..I just dont understand the moves this guy makes..I dont care if you dont have you closer, although you might have if you had not let him throw 60 pitches last ...night, but you bring in whoever you need to..you dont put the winning run on and pitch to Ortiz..So sick of hearing how Leyland thinks outside the box, no he doesn't he is just a stubborn old man, who's time has long past him by. As it has for this fake ass GM we have. Then he tells us he had a big deal working, YEA RIGHT!!!!! for who? Manny, hahahaha.

They had Bonine Warm, the little fellow Wienhardt, I bringi n one of those guys to face Youk, I would never load the bases with a walk first of all, and never to Ortiz..He always comes through in those situations..Yes I am venting, I am a fan and although I think this team is what it is, I am still watching them and sitting through the last 2 innings after Max pitched so great AGAIN was painful...Not sure about the manager, I actually like brookens, GM, I love John Hart, I really do. Not sure he'd be interested, but I would sure ask..Dombrowski is nothing but a guy who likes to draft power arms. Who is a bat he drafted that was a sure fire Major league? Granderson, and I think he just got lucky. Maybe because he certainly could not hit lefties..someone had to know that. Boesch? He was rated the 28th rated prospect in our system, so he certainly had no idea, and im still not sold on him anyway..Strikes out too much, and does not take enough balls. he is a rookie though..Other than that who else? Maybin? Sucks..Wilken Ramierez (sp?), he sucks and was traded today. I mean your seeing what kind of offense we have in the minors.. Have you seen the Red Sox minor league system? Now thats a GM. Not the Tigers, we have a 100 million dollar payroll, and a good chunk of that is in bad contracts that are not even playing for us..Next year we have some wiggle room, I hope we have a better Gm handling that money.

I saw him tonight, among other nights, get a fastball right in his power zone and swing right through it.
I'm no batting coach, but something is just not there, that was in the beginning.
Really at this point, I think it's just about what's between the ears. Too much second guessing going on.

Neither team is very good in AAA this year.
Toledo has a much better batting avg. and scored more runs than the Red Sox counterpart.

Seattle's due for a win Sunday. Keep on knocking, but you can stay out on the porch. Danks had his 1st bad game in a long time last night and Braden threw like he did in his perfect game. Floyd's hot, he'll get them back on the winning ways.

Thank goodness I have been traveling lately and haven't had much time to keep up with the Tigers nor participate in forum discussions. The Tigers seem to have imploded since the All-Star break. Additionally, their biggest flaw (mental weakness) has been made glaringly obvious given their continued woeful road record. Let's face it...this Tigers team is talented enough to be 15-games above .500 - no question about it! Yet, they compare to the likes of celar-dwellars Baltimore, Seattle, Washington, Pittsburgh and Arizona when it comes to playing on the road. While I certainly believe they have the talent to come-from-behind and win the AL Central...well, they haven't given me any indication they have the heart (and leadership) to do so. Wasn't Damon supposed to provide the leaderhip needed to help the team win the tough ones?
Perfect summary of this team, but really since Leyland has been at the helm. They need attitude. Heart has certainly been an issue with this team for some time now. Watch when they play the White sox next week..They just seem to cowar against them. No way this team is the Central champs though..
BTW we are blessed to have Avila and Raburn back in the line up today. thats at least 5 k's
