AL Central 2010

I wish the Tigers would trade for some proven veterans instead of just calling up minor leaguers. The only one that's paid off this year has been Boesch and he's having a bad second half so far.

Yankees 11, Indians 4

Oh, where to begin?

Mitch Talbot started the game, walked 4 in two innings and left the game with a sore back.

Unfortunately our bullpen was spent from the night before, so we had to go to late inning guy, Rafael Perez in the 3rd inning.

By the end of the game, we were so desperate, 3rd Baseman Andy Marte pitched! The sad part? He had the best performance with a 1-2-3 9th!!!

A bright spot! A-Rod didn’t hit his 600th home run in Cleveland; he was 1-4 last night and went 3-17 in the series. He will be taking his talents to Tampa Bay this weekend.

I wouldn't mind this. Rahter the SOx get another pitcher than a hitter, but if they go for a hitter, I'd go after Lance Berkman.

Overnight rumor from mlbtraderumors.com:

White Sox In Serious Discussions For Edwin Jackson
By Luke Adams [July 30 at 1:51am CST]
1:51am: If the two sides were to agree on a deal, the second prospect heading to the D'Backs would also be a pitcher, reports Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports (via Twitter).

1:14am: The White Sox are in "serious discussions" for Jackson, tweets Rosenthal. Chicago would send Hudson and another prospect to the D'Backs in the proposed deal.

I think you have to have something to offer the other team first.
If you don't want the AAA team up here, why would the team your trying to fleece want them ?

That not to say that there are not Major league guys in AAA, it's just a bit to early for them ...

I mentioned how to solve Boesch's problems earlier, give him a week off and bring him back in the 3 hole in FRONT of Cabrera.

Twins up 5-1
Replay came into play on a HR from Alexi Casilla....it was a HR :)
(hit the ledge where the flowers are in right, then bounced off a guy and back into field of play...the flowers are a HR)

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
