AL Central 2010

sometimes watching the Twins game can be hard on the ears. Dont get me wrong I like Dick & Bert but damn they will pick a subject and roll with it for 2-3 innings.

example is when Pavano pitches. Bert loves to talk about how Pavano has 5 CG's and how only Lee & Halladay have as many. Then latelly they've been teaming Pavano with backup catcher Drew Butera and DH'ing Mauer. They talked about how some pitchers have their "own" catcher and talked about it for 3+ innings going back to 87 when Sal Butera caught one of the Twins starters and how Junior Ortiz caught Scott Erickson

seriously guys...talk about the game :)
and dont say the word "pitch count" to Bert...that'll be a 4+ inning rant ;)

quick question.....are you able to see all 6 teams that claim Iowa? I know each part is different for the "main" RSN's but if you add the sports pack you get 6 teams

I have the Dish sports pack and, yes, I can see the Cubs, Cards, Royals, White Sox, Brewers, and, of course, the Twins. The reason I got satellite was the availability of FSN North and the Twins broadcasts. It's hard, however, to force myself to watch the Sox. Can't stand Hawk as an announcer.

You are right that sometimes Dick & Bert get stuck on a topic, but I do enjoy their work. They show an honest appreciation for quality play by an opponent that I appreciate.

There's a quick $ 200 .....

About $100 online if you are willing to use the same housing and swap out the bulb yourself. That and two to three days of a 13" non-HD screen. Maybe I should get two and keep one on hand.

Nice outing by Josh Tomlin in his MLB debut! 7 innings, 3 hits, 1 ER against the Yankees!

Plus, it was good to get a win against ex-Injun, CC Sabathia.

Final Score: Good guys: 4, Evil Empire: 1

A-Rod still stuck at 599. The bleachers are extra packed through this series in hopes of catching the elusive ball.

How long did this bulb last you ?
Do you plan on keeping the TV for another 5+ years ?
If Yes, it would be a wise move to have one on hand.

what is your "normal" RSN (if you didnt have the sports pack)? CSN CHicago

:up:up Maybe soon Hawk "he gone"....ugh!

dont get me wrong. Dick and Bert are good announcers. Sometimes they detach from the game with their "conversations" :)

I was being a smart ass. I know there were 7 rookies, my comment was really a Mr. Obvious type deal. There are rookies because this team is not deep, which is what I said from the get go. You and others like have been fooled into believing this team would compete for the title.

That was never going to be the case, Injuries or not. They always choke in the 2nd half..The white sox and the Twins are far more talented offensively than we are. The Twins and Tigers have bad pitching staffs are not championship caliber. The Tigers offense, is terrible with or without injuries, and hell Guillen wasn't doing anything special before he got hurt..

Im hoping we become sellers or at least just stand pat, and save the money..We free up about 55 million next year if im not mistaken..

About two years. Had the TV since 2005 (maybe six). Original bulb lasted about the same time. I really like the TV. 1080i, but the PQ is very good. It's funny though, that when the bulb starts fading you don't notice that it is dimming until you put in a new one and then WOW! its bright. I should stock up. They might not be available in two more years.

Chicago and FSN MW come with the non-sports pack. Neither would do the job for me.

Having six to pick from helps keep the temptation to switch to Direct and get MLB EI down to a minimum.

Not as good as being there for a game, but the tour was fun. The restaurant under the fancy home-plate seats is insane.

If you got everything already figured out then the Tigers may as well just pack up thier bags in Spring Training as they have no chance to do anything...... why bother, why not just CLOSE the team and abandon the franchise.

WEEI's Dennis and Callahan to be simulcast live on NESN

Don't look now, but Steve Lavin is making St. John's relevant again
