A wHopper of a Head ache.

I feel pretty good right now. Got my system running and having drink while watching basketball in split screen. relax time

Things are fine here.

Even my wife (who puts up with my technology) found something to be amazed by - when she pressed Recall she had a choice of four channels.

I think that there will be a lot more headaches over the next few days with this stupid E* policy of every hopper must have a joey. They (Scott and others) were telling people that if three tuners wasn't enough, just add another hopper. Well now it's "How about a joey with that hopper?" With the extra fee per month, of course. No OTA, no connectivity of hoppers, no VIP's with H/J, inconsistent upgrade policies, and now the each hopper must have a joey rule. What a cl*****f*** E*.

I said it before but will say it again, yesterday was just the first day of sales. They (DISH) is watching everyones comments closely and they will tweek things as needed if they see an issue.

I wish you could see things from my side in working with DISH. When DISH asked me to collect questions to send them you guys came up with a lot things which they never even considered.

I am sure with this launch there were configurations requested that they never imagined as well. :)

With your feedback things will get better, you guys are the voice of the DISH Network consumer and I am proud to say you have their ear. But with that said all changes will take time...but you can be sure when those changes happen you will find out about them here at SatelliteGuys first. :)

This is why I said EVERYONE should wait on this upgrade. Wait till the bugs are worked out. Wait till the features you want are added , like ota and 2 hopper integration. Wait till the csrs are fully informed and fully trained to deal with the upgrades properly. Cutting edge technology also means sometimes you get cut in the process. After the 922 debacle , I would of thought everyone would of learned by now.

I totally agree on waiting this out for a few month's. Especially considering Dish's track record on new tech. I've seen people who paid for $200 to "upgrade" to the 922 now paying again to upgrade to the H/J. Don't people know the definition of insanity?

Do you think 2Hoppers/1Joey may be one of the configurations that may soon be allowed? (Yes, I know Dish's definition of soon)

Dish can't make any changes if they don't get people to sign up right away and report. Someone has to be an early adapter. If no one did and everyone waited you be in the same boat.

And if Dish is monitoring forums like this for feedback as to why folks are waiting to upgrade, that might help spur changes as well too, right??

There's been discussion here for quite some time prior to launch and what people were planning or wanted to do. Were they not paying attention then? :)
