We can also blame Georgia ...
They are the ones that couldn't see that Justin Fields in the long run was going to be better than Jake Fromm and Fields not playing decided to leave for Ohio State, this was all after he talked with Duane Haskins, who beat out Joe Burrow for the job and more or less pushed him to transfer to LSU .... where he met a man named Brady .... and on and on it goes !!!!!!!
Fromm had just led the Bulldogs to the National Championship game. There was no reason to replace him with a freshman who had never played. Its amazing what you hear listening to ESPNU radio. They were talking about Fromm leaving and how that will go.
I guess some of the receivers and linemen were frustrated with Smart. It was like no matter how good Fields looked in practice he wouldn't get a shot. Smart is a loyal guy.
Fields was frustrated too but supposedly all the noise was coming from the starting receivers. They wanted to see a change that would never happen.

Fields was complaining in just the second game of the season due to not starting and only playing in the second half. If anything, that says a lot more about Fields than Kirby.
He wasn't, there's a video clip of him complaining after the South Carolina game.I'm going off what I heard on ESPNU radio. What I do know is that Fields has been quiet here.
Supposedly he was quiet there too.
Actually I don't mind Ohio State. They're a good team, and I actually advocated them for the playoffs back when they won it. It's just some of their fans that can't see things objectively (something every team suffers from).I won't comment again on it. I know you can't stand Fields and Ohio State.

As for Fields, sure he's a great player, I just didn't like his attitude when he was at Georgia, nor did I think he had earned the right, as a true freshman, to take the starting position away from someone who had just led the team to the National Championship game.
A pair of Ohio State football players were charged with first-degree rape and kidnapping after an alleged incident at their apartment last week, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
Cornerback Amir Riep, 21, and safety Jahsen Wint, 21, were charged on Tuesday in Franklin County Municipal Court in Ohio. Warrants have been issued for their arrests. An Ohio State spokesman confirmed that they are aware of the charges and arrests, and said that the two have been suspended from all team activities.

I think everyone team wise will be doing the same soon.Ohio State players asked to sign virus risk waiver
Ohio State football players and their parents were asked to sign an acknowledgment of risk regarding the coronavirus before returning to campus for voluntary workouts June 8, athletic director Gene Smith confirmed to ESPN on Sunday.www.google.com
Good move by tOSU. I’m hearing the entire team signed this waiver. Hopefully this will be the start to a normal 20-21 season, if that’s still possible.
Why the parents? If the players are at least 18, a parental signature means nothing.Ohio State players asked to sign virus risk waiver

I would like to see all the kneeling, just Go Away ...Here we go...
“Penn State may review where players are located during the national anthem on game days, its athletic department said, just days after Big Ten Conference commissioner Kevin Warren said players could kneel for the anthem if sports resume this fall.
For decades, many big-time college football programs, including Penn State, have kept some of the university’s highest-profile players off the field during the anthem as part of their pregame routine. As anti-racism protests continue across the world, these traditions could change to allow players to show solidarity with the movement.”
Penn State might review football players’ location during national anthem after Big Ten says it will allow kneeling
Demonstrations during the national anthem allow players to use their platforms to protest systemic racism “in the most visible way.” But Penn State, like many teams, has traditionally sent its players out to the field after it’s over.www.inquirer.com
