2018-19 NCAA Football Thread

After hanging in there the entire game, I’m afraid the Aggies just got screwed out of a chance to tie with 2:30 left. No way that ball was fumbled through the endzone.

Boy, Clemson just got a gift ...
Texas A&M going in to score ... fumbles and it goes out of bounds ... should be thier ball at the 2 yard line ... but no, the refs (getting paid to keep clemson alive ... wink wink) say the ball went out of the end zone and thus Clemson got the ball. with 2 minutes or so to go.

Replay shows it went out of bounds, not thru the endzone.

Oh well, the #2 team in the country was taken down to the wire by a soon to be ranked unranked team. Great game. I’m afraid there are big things to come in College Station with Fisher there.

Urban will be fine ... and there as long as he wants.
How many recruits bolted over this ?

Remember, Urban didn't commit any crime.
He didn't assault anyone ...
He wasn't drunk and driving ....
Or any other crimes.

The only reason this is an issue at all is because of how it would look to the major university.

If it were a lesser school, nothing would have came from it.
Had it been at Bama, it would have been swept under the rug and nothing would have been addressed.
What would have been swept under the rug?

You just spent most of the post saying nothing happened . Lol

Looks like they did .

Honestly this early in the season, and having the game at home, a&m playing with them didn't surprise me.
T A&M hanging with Clemson like that did surprise me ....

Like you said, early season games, anything can happen .... thats why I prefer to have your Big games after like the 2nd or 3rd game, this way your team has an idea of what they have ... most teams are much better later in the year.

I'm thinking that we should have a very entertaining Ohio State vs TCU game next Saturday ...
Both teams played well against lesser competition ... so it will be nice to get a realistic idea of both teams this year.

Looks as if the best teams I saw this weekend were Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma. Clemson was fortunate to escape with a win but again, that is what GOOD teams do.

Shout out to Kentucky for FINALLY, after 31 years, beating Florida. Should have happened 2 years ago or last year but.....

Incoming Hurricane Florence has resulted in the following games being cancled:

  • Central Florida at North Carolina (both schools have said it won't be rescheduled)
  • West Virginia at NC State (schools said they will try to reschedule)
South Carolina and Clempson have said they're monitoring the situation, but still too early to say if they'll be canceled. I'm guessing not as the storm is tracking towards the North Carolina coast, and both schools are inland.

East Carolina has called off it's game at Va Tech this Saturday.

UNC, NC State, Va. Tech called due to Florence
