So after Germany crushes Portugal and Ghana gets their hearts ripped out by the US, they end up with a 2-2 draw.
Guess first impressions don't really exist in the Group of Death.
With this result, the United States will only need to win tomorrow against a battered Portugal to advance to the Knockout Stage. Predictions?

What a second half, I found myself rooting for Ghana. Anyway, at least they´re not out, not just yet.
I´d say the US can win 2-1 to Portugal. I´m giving Portugal the benefit of one goal, I don´t think Ronaldo will score, though.

Nigeria wins 1-0 to Bosnia. Bosnia is out. Nigeria could even make it to the next round.

I too was rooting for Ghana in the end. Truth be told, if THIS Ghana played the US, our Yanks would have lost
Just seconds away from being right in my prediction. Seconds away from the US securing the pass to the next round, knocking out Portugal from the WC.
Anyway, I still believe the US will make the next round, but we´ll have to wait for the match vs Germany, and see what happens now between Ghana and Portugal.
Words cannot begin to describe this. A draw is a draw but it really feels like a gut-wrenching loss. I hate pointing fingers but Michael Bradley man... That so called "clearance" right before the tying goal was terrible. If the ball went farther, the game would have ended with a US victory.

So if Portugal vs Ghana ends up in draw, then US is into the next round, regardless of the outcome in the match vs Germany.
This is one of the reasons, why the 3rd round of the group stage has the 4 teams playing simultaneously, to avoid some kind of "arrangement" like in that shameful Germany vs Austria back in Spain 82.

Their defense was horrible the whole game with alot of blown possessions on their side of the field. Now they HAVE to tie at the very least for comfortably move on to the next round. IF they lose, they will need help. SMH
Believe or not DJdish, I was actually thinking of your post when there was 1 minute left in the game and laughing to myself saying, "this guy hit it right on the money!" LOL
I was SOOO freaking upset when that goal was scored. I just had a bad feeling those last 10 minutes. The team just looked like they had the game won and played like crap. CLEAR THE DAMN BALL!!!! How hard is it to just kick the ball down the field to waste time. Just look at hockey when they're trying to kill time, they always clear the puck down the ice.
I know the USA should move on yet but I just have a bad feeling this tie is going to come back and bite them in the butt. Never give the opposition a second chance or it will come back to you.
