2014-15 NCAA Football Bowl season

If My Bowl scenario would have happened, Iowa would barely make the bowls.
Iowa was 7-5 and 4-4 in conference and playing on the weaker side of the Big Ten.

My scenario would require a team to have at least 2 wins over .500 to go to a bowl. (prefer 3 games over, but that would cut it down quite a bit.
Theres way too many games anyways.

This will never happen though because the Bowls would not know how many would be used till late in the season.

Anyone see the end of the Armed Forces Bowl? Pitt was up 31-6 in the 4th quarter and choked it away.Houston's receivers were wide open while Pitt played soft and Houston recovered 2 onside kicks in the final 4 minutes. Unbelievable.

Maybe Karma does eventually even things out. I'm a Houston fan from the 70s when I lived there and took some graduate classes at the school. This was the Bill Yeomans veer offense era and they had some great teams. One year in the late 70s they won the SWC and played Notre Dame in the Cotton Bowl. They were up big in the 4th quarter and Yeomans started subbing early. ND, led by Joe Montana, refused to concede and started scoring. Houston couldn't get momentum back and ended up losing. The thing that irritated me the most about it was that it gave Lou Holtz his National Championship. Hack Patoo.

I remember that game. It was in 1979. Lou Holtz was ccoaching Arkansas then. What national championship are you referring to?

I remember that game too.
As Notre Dame was coming back I was saying "who's this Montana guy" LOL

Oops, you're right. It was Dan Devine coaching ND that day. It's funny that as I get older names, dates and places that I was sure I remembered start to mix a little. I'll have to start relying on Google more.

Lol. I'll let you in on a secret, I had to Google it myself before I asked you the question. ;) Getting old ain't fun. :)

Gators will win this game, somehow, but once Driskel came in for Florida, they did NOTHING.

They've done nothing on offense all year.

The offense with Driskel is god awful, with Harris it was just awful.

Look for Wil Grier to be the quaterback next season.

While watching the NFL playoffs, an interesting bit of trivia was presented. The very first Final Four of college basketball had Oregon State and Ohio State as the two final teams, same as the first final four of college football. :) For what it's worth Oregon won.

Oregon State is not playing, but Oregon is.

The city of Oregon, Ohio, suburb of Toledo, is gonna change thier name for the day, to support the Buckeyes.
