2013 MLB Postseason

Lance Parrish, a member of Detroit's 1984 World Series champions, will throw out the first pitch on Tuesday. Motown legends The Four Tops will perform the national anthem.

Ortiz's grand slam on Sunday was the first time in postseason play that four pitchers were charged with a run on the same play.

I'm probably not going to be posting here much tonight. I'm recording the game and going into bubble mode until I get caught up. I won't be able to get home from work until about 5:30 so the game might be over before I catch up. I'm turning off the iPhone at 3:55, no iPad, no internet, no radio etc... Even with all that I'm putting my chances of someone ruining it for me at 50 50. Anyways, we are looking at a rainy afternoon/evening in the Detroit area tonight. There is a chance that the game will be delayed to the point where I'm not even behind. Hopefully they are able to get it in without too much trouble.

Good news is looks like rain might be hitting about the time the game is wrapping up, hopefully

With today marking the 25th anniversary of his huge HR in the WS against Oakland, I wonder if Kirk Gibson will throw out tonight's first pitch. I think that would be very cool!

Isn't Parrish throwing out the first pitch in the Tigers/Red Sox game?

Yes. I think the confusion comes from the fact that Gibson also won the Tigers the 1984 World Series with a huge home run. He could realistically be someone the Tigers would ask to throw out a first pitch too.

Not according to my weather channel app. It's showing a chance of rain anywhere from 3:00pm all the way to tomorrow morning and it's actually starting to sprinkle here right now.

Edit: I'm about 45 minutes north of Comerica.
