2011 SEC Football (Home of 7 of 13 BCS Championships including the last 5)

Touche......;)

I do have a number for that defense though. 533, I know how good they are, but they can be gashed, and badly (yes, they still won), Bama hasnt shown that weakness yet (and LSU may not show it again).
If Bama winds up throwing 62 times like WV did, it will mean LSU stopped that daunted running game of theirs. Having faced that type of QB will benefit LSU.

Having watched both teams kick my Gators butt, im thinking Bama may have the edge (even though I want LSU to win as I hate bama far more then I do LSU)

But either way I think the spread on this game may very well be +/- .05 in either direction. Not a game id gamble on thats for sure.

Bama will have an edge with Richardson, no doubt. And being at home I expect them to be probably around a 4 to 6 point favorite.

But Auburn is all I'm worried about right now. They are better than they look and could easily catch LSU looking ahead...although I doubt Miles will let that happen.

IF auburn catches the "Lucky Miles Train" and actually upsets LSU, then I am worried. lol
Shouldnt happen, but who the hell knows.

I would be FLOORED if LSU and Bama is a 4-6 point pick, EITHER way.

I see BOTH teams conveniently have an OFF week coming up just before they play.

What is convenient about it? Scheduling just turned out that way.

It's part of the same conspiracy that made all the SEC games warmer (by about 5 degrees) in November. ;)

As it is, I think the game will come down to home field advantage and be won by a touchdown or less.

This is again going to come across as "homer", but Ive been thinking about this, and discussing it with friends and fans of both teams, and I know I am setting myself up here, but.......
IF LSU wins, I see it as being a TD or less.
If Bama wins, I see it as being a two TD game, at least. I simply feel that if they get rolling and play like they can play, in a hostile (for LSU) home environment, that it will be a decisive win for us.

Who knows how the off week will play with their minds though. Often times teams come off of a bye week flat, especially teams that are on a roll like Bama and LSU.

It was VERY intentional to have them have an OFF week before playing one another, don't kid yourself.

With the point being?

I just dont see the point, as he seems to allude to. It would be one thing if ONE got a week off, as happened to teams that played bama what 6 times last year? But both? What competitive advantage does anyone gain if it is for both? What possible reason could be behind it that would suggest that it was anything but the way the schedule was laid out, most likely, a year or so ago?

Certainly opens up the game wide for Auburn to take advantage.
Actually, the player who will replace Mathieu on defense was the original starter before he was sidelined during spring training with an injury. He's healthy now.
If this game was at Auburn I'd say it would look more likely they win..but now its just gonna be a nail biter.
You come up with baseless comments like this every week. I guess you think one day you might get it right. ;)

So what if it was? Maybe one day the Big10 will wise up and do the same.

They do, but they just started ....

This is the reason thier season has to go so late into the year ... off weeks.

We should have ALL games done by Dec 1st and head into a Playoff, making the NC game on NY Day !

I dont mind the late game for the NC to be honest. It bothered me a little at first, but not so much now.
Playoffs, with anything approaching the number of teams many prefer is more of a problem for me. With the current schedule, plus CCG, it is too much IMO.

Id much prefer a +1. Four top teams, winner plays winner. Get your NC.
Beyond that, is there really a legitimate argument for who the best team really is most (95%) years?

You are just a homer.
