2011 SEC Football (Home of 7 of 13 BCS Championships including the last 5)

I'm thinking Tigers all around.

So far Auburn has only one loss, and it was to a surprisingly good Clempson team at Death Valley. Me thinks they're actually good this year.

My picks as well, however with Aubarn, you just dang never know.

I'm a little worried about the LSU game. With Jefferson back in the mix at QB, the offense might go back to that confused dual QB mess we've seen the past several years, with Miles swapping them mid drive. That's what killed them early last season, and I saw some of that last week against UK. Hope I'm wrong.

No need. You are welcome. ;)

The unsportsmanlike conduct rule that took away an LSU fake punt touchdown- ridiculous.

I guess college football is becoming a sport where you're not allowed to show any emotion- everyone SUPPOSEDLY has to be emotionless robots!

Well I think its a good rule..any player that is stupid enough to do that when you know damn well every coach of every team has told them straight up NOT to do it or they will likely get punished hard, should be punished really good aside from that maybe costing a team the game. The rule was applied well ahead of the season and everyone knows about it...so no excuse other than just stupidity on the players part.

Lookin at the video..yeah pretty stupid!

It's a dumb rule if there is no room for interpretation, and I think most will agree after watching that play objectively. He holds his hands out and grins, probably excited as hell since it might be the only chance he'll ever have to score a touchdown. :)

I think its a good rule and clearly explained.... excited or not, just run the ball into the end zone and get the score not hold out your hands to taunt which was clear as day of what he did. This is the first time this year someone has gotten called on it and you can bet it won't be the last but coaches have been telling players since before day 1 NOT to do this.... no excuses as the rule is clearly written.

Now, as for a objective opinion - I do think the NCAA shouldn't have applied this rule and let the players celebrate a little after the TD or play but it is what it is nothing you can do about it but obey.

LSU football team having fun, looks like team headed far | NOLA.com

There have been LSU football teams that have been 6-0, LSU teams that have averaged close to 40 points midway through the season, LSU teams that completed long passes, and broken up long ones, LSU teams that have faked kicks and blocked kicks. Coach Les Miles' top-ranked Tigers did not exactly do all of those things in whipping the Florida Gators 41-11 Saturday, but they did enough of them in another of those "let's have fun" victories to warm the hearts of the faithful at Tiger Stadium.

"We want Bama! We want Bama! We want Bama," chanted the crowd as the clock wound down.

Dont worry. You will get all the Bama that you want come November. ;)

So at this point, who do you pick? Lsu or Bama?

I know this is a homer pick, but right now, Bama looks darn unstoppable. The running game is fantastic. Even beyond the Beast that is Trent Richardson. Eddie Lacey is IMO, just as good if he is healthy and holds onto the ball, and Fowler is showing that he can play, and might start if he wasnt following these two.
AJ is no super star, but he makes very few mistakes. He is very efficient, and manages the game as well as anybody. And puts up decent stats while doing it. The receivers are deceptively good.

As for the D, well, what can you say, the stats speak for themselves. If there is a better linebacking corp in the nation, I havent seen it.

Should be a good one. RTR.

Well South Carolina is done. Lattimore is out for the season.

Even beyond the Bull that is Spencer Ware, Michael Ford is IMO, just as good if he is healthy and holds onto the ball, and Blue is showing that he can play, and might start if he wasnt following these two.

Good post and your both right.
Tide and Tigers can change uniforms with each other and still have the same team.

Touche......;)

I do have a number for that defense though. 533, I know how good they are, but they can be gashed, and badly (yes, they still won), Bama hasnt shown that weakness yet (and LSU may not show it again).

They look good, but it will be a toss up when they face Alabama though
