Actually you are allowed to replace injured players during the middle of a round. This is the only time you can do it. Today Young has been reactivated taking Ordonez's spot. They didn't say whether he will actually be able to play today or if it was wishful thinking that he might be able to pinch hit in a big situation later in the series or something.

Mother Nature and the Injury Fairy have not been kind to the Tigers this postseason. Regardless, we can still win this series with some good pitching. Now, if only Jackson, Avila and Betemit can start hitting...

And now it is official. Delmon Young is playing LF and batting 3rd today. If he is able to be productive our lineup might not be in bad shape after all.

A local sports dope, who is almost always wrong, just picked a Brewers-Rangers World Series. If I were a betting man I would put money on the Cards-Tigers.

Anyway, I've decided to leave work early so hopefully I'm home by first pitch. Go Tigers!

They said that they were gonna leave him on the roster because of Ordonez going down and they would see what they could get out of him.

I too doubt that he's 100%, but they said it wasn't as severe as they originally thought.

I also head today what Avilla's problem has been, he's playing with a bad knee and can't drive the ball.

I would see if Martiez can catch and get Avilla out of the line up.
