2011 MLB Playoffs

With Detroit's win today, we're now guaranteed to have all four series playing Tuesday. It will be interesting to see how MLB will schedule it (they could hypothetically have a quadruplheader with AZ playing at home).

Whew, tigers hold on I thought bad things were going to happen when Avila slipped when he tried to catch the foul ball

HUGE win for Tigers!!

Huge win is right! I'm so glad to be leaving rain-soaked New York with a split. In fact, it was raining so hard that I was afraid we wouldn't be able to field a ball put in play. I though we were in trouble when Avila fell on his arse after sliding on a wet on deck circle as Granderson's third-out foul-ball fell to the gound. To be honest, I don't know why Inge wasn't there to grab it. Additionally, Jackson would normally have caught Posada's triple had it been dry.

Anyway, we played eight great innings...but I'm glad to escape with the win. :)

Changing channels to the Arizona-Milwaukee game.

I'm also heading back to Detroit since I have ticket waiting for Game 4 Tuesday night at Comerica Park. Yeah Me! :)

Brewers are taking batting practice off of AZ right now. Batter after batter is getting hit after hit all on the first pitch. 5 runs scored in the 6th off of first pitch hits (I've never seen anything like it). The fans do not even have time to quiet down before the next batter gets a hit

I didnt really watch the Yankee game as I watching football and I took a nap as well but Im glad the Tigers won...barely. You Tiger fans had to sweat it out and as usual the Yankees didnt go down without a fight but hey, you take a win anyway you can take it.

Anytime you no hit the Yankees for 5 or 6 innings YOU know hes done the job. With this lineup and with the Yankees at home, he has nothing to be ashamed of.

I agree...overcast skies, temps in the mid-50s, pitching first postseason game (on National TV and at Yankee Stadium no less), facing the #2 offense in baseball...Tigers fans could not be more pleased with his performance.

5:07pm ET- Phillies at Cardinals- Game 3 (TBS)

I just figured something out here. What if the Phillies/Cardinals game run long? They will put the Yankees game on TNT or will they? I say that because if the Phillies/Cards game runs long and the Yankee game starts on TNT what happens to the Diamondbacks game? Thats a clinching game. Its not impossible for that happening. If the Phillies goes extra innings, the Yankee game will be on TNT but then what about the Diamondbacks game?

Good question.....they would probably move the start of the Brewers-DBacks game to TruTV. Of course, this is very unlikely to happen (Phillies-Cards game would have to last almost 5 hours), but you never know. ;)
