He'll be back, if they were gonna release him, they probably would have done that before sending him to Toledo.

Fwiw, he's hitting about .350 in Toledo.
I about fell off my chair when I heard that the other night.

Yep, I read that the other day. Leyland will probably praise him for finding his rythm. Personally, I would take the Gunny Hartman route and tell him, "Why you little maggot! You can't hit but a buck-seventy when your team needs you, but you can hit the snot out-of-the-ball for some other ballclub when your nuts are in a vice. Why you scumbag! I think you've been malingering and Tiger fans feel cheated! What wrong...do I intimidate you? Are you stressed? You had better give me 25 good hits in September or I will F you up! You're the kind of guy who would screw a teammate and not have the common courtesy to give him a reach-around. I'll be watching you!"

Leyland needs to stop mollycoddling these players who are being paid millions to produce. And he should watch Full Metal Jacket each and every day. :)

Tiger's Jackson hitting .195 this year with runners in scoring position...and 0 for his last 12 AB.

0-12 ?
He bunted in a run last night .... Do you need to get a hit to count in the RISP ?
I don't care if he gets a hit with RISP as long as they score from whatever he does.

That said, he needs to hit .285 and up, not below .250

Tigers just lost a run, Jackson was never tagged and they called him out.
Baltimore's Weiders is blocking the lime so you have to go around him, and thats fine, but don't come complaining when someone has a big collision with him, if he gets hurt.

Jackson was tagged on the arse. I'm watching the game on MASN and he was clearly out; they had a camera that clearly showed the cather reaching back and brushing his glove against Jackson's belt. Good call by the home plate ump. We should average better than 12-hits per game against the O's pitching. My only concern is that we're leaving a lot of men on base...and now Coke is in the game. Also, I don't think Al will be pitching this series after taking a line-drive to the noggin.
