2011 AL Central Thread

I heard things were so bad in Minnesota, they put Michael Cuddyer in for relief. Wow. Talk about desperation.

In related news, who is going to stop the RED HOT Texas Rangers?!

Gardy didnt want to burn through the bullpen and when it was 20-2 (at the time) so why not use someone else?
Twins got 3 in the 8th and Cuddy pitched the 8th but just seeing the 8th is proof on how bad it was

-pop up to short center. Nishi runs out, Repko slowly comes in and Nishi just stops...ball drops in between them
-grounder to Mauer (playing 1st). He thinks of throwing to 2nd then runs to the bag and barely makes it. The ump almost signaled safe
-last out is a popup to short left. Nishi goes out and the LF calls him off. They bump but NIshi catches it

so I guess last night Texas missed the extra point and won 20-6

I guess I can hit "delete" on the DVR without watching it

On a positive note a loss is a loss, whether it was 1-0 or 100-0, and every team experiences a blowout or two. It was actually a wise decision to rest the bullpen.

Sounds like the Wh Sox D last night. (and they STILL won)

Let's hope it goes the same way it did when he started against the Sox 10 days or so ago!

Well, you got your wish, but, NO MORE !

Personally, I would love to see another no-no. There are only a handful of pitchers in MLB that bring this possibility into every start. Verlander is one of them. :)

The No NO went Bye, Bye after the first batter ....

Betemit always kills the Sox since they let him go. Just saw a stat, since May 29, Verlander has given up a total of 15 ER. The White Sox have 10 of them in 3 games.

Until this past year and a half, the Wh Sox have hit J.V. pretty well.
They were the always hitting him in his early career.

Up by three, down by 4, won by 1. They may be having a difficult year, but there isn't any quit in the Twins!

For those that are having baseball withdrawls...
