The Denver Post reported Wednesday that a group of eight Broncos fans has decided to pool their money (nearly $10,000) and rent two billboards to implore coach John Fox to start Tim Tebow over Kyle Orton.



When fans start calling the shots in personnel decisions, it's never a good thing.

Kyle Orton just is not an exciting player to watch. That being said,it's not his fault that the Broncos played so conservatively & lackluster. I'd like to see Tim Tebow start,but only when he is ready. Now,if the Bengals blow the Broncos out next week.......... What the Broncos can do is put Tim Tebow in the game as running back with Kyle Orton as QB,&/or Wildcat formation. I'm not impressed with the Broncos' current running backs right now.

Does not matter because either way...Brady Quinn is their #2 guy. The only way I see Tebow playing would be in some "wildcat" package or if both Orton AND Quinn was sucking up the place...and if THATS the case, Denver would be in deep sh**!

That's why I suggested that they put him in the backfield like Ronnie Brown when he was with the Dolphins. He could be another Peyton Hillis(who the Broncos let get away). The Broncos were always know for their gimmick plays,a boring "conservative" Broncos team is an oxymoron,the two just don't go together. I'm not knocking Knowshon Moreno,but he has been known to get hurt a lot.

It's not just the QB,look at the running back(Peyton Hillis) & the WR(Brandon Marshall) they traded away. Tim Tebow seems to be the only player the Broncos have that excites the fans right now. We'll see how it goes this coming weekend with the Bengals.

Can you imagine IF they kept those 3?! They would be pretty damn good and I would think giving the Chargers a real run for their money.

Steeler's Troy Polamalu fined 15K for a horse collar against the Ravens .....

The idea of a horse collar was started in the SB when Owens was Horse Collared, he was brought down from behind grabbing the shoulder pads ...

The NFL in it's eagerness to fine teams, mainly the Steeler's, have fine Polamalu for grabbing the back of the jersey and bringing him down, didn't know you weren't allowed to use the jersey , linemen grab the jersey all the time.

I saw the play LIVE with replays and it was obvious that it was the jersey, NOT the shoulder pads.
Where in the rule book is this call ?

Oh I agree but IMO the league wants to penalize and fine anyone they can especially if they are a steeler

I hate to see another season like last year when the Steeler's are getting fines for BS calls like many of last years.

They will because of Harrison's remarks In that magazine and the team not voting to ratify the new contract plus how the steelers don't agree with the appeal process.

there is a reason since the steelers get fined all the time, now I think some were justified but some weren't.

meanwhile Ben gets hit all the time in the head and no penalties unless they break his nose, so yeah a little tin foil hat going on and well deserved.

So you really think there's a difference between pulling someone down by the neck of their jersey vs pulling them down by the inside of their shoulder pads? Not much more than semantics, and maybe another inch and a half of give before it has the exact same result.
