When you are listed at 5-10 on the Dallas Cowboys website and the WR is 6-5 and just as fast as you are and more than likely longer arms than you do, you damn well better think of height as well. And Joe Haden was not on him as much as it looked in the 3rd and 4th Quarter.

? He shut down AJ Green completely. As a matter of fact, Green only caught 1 single pass the entire day and that was on a broken play when the Bengals quick snapped it when no one on the Browns defense was even lined up. Oh, and AJ Green is 6'4".

Joe Hayden.... geez... you got ME confused with with YOUR confusion.. I was talking about the Jets/Cowboys game....GEEZ...!

LOL Poor Mike Francessa. It absolutely kills him when the Jets win and the Giants lose. EVERY time the Jets win it's always about how the other team handed the Jets a game they didn't deserve to win.

"All Brady had to do was blah blah blah"

"Why didn't Manning go away from the running game that was working so well"

It sounds like a broken record, so that when last night Romo basically DOES give the Jets the game, it sounds like Francessa whining all over again. Too funny.

Package that with a brutal Giants loss to what was a dysfunctional team last year, and you have one angry chubby Long Islander!

That's why Rob Ryan was so hot after the game. He knew he did everything he could to win, and felt like it was taken away from him. The last 10 points for the Jets had nothing to do with his defense.

The only one who is confused is you Pops. You brought up the subject of "being short" as the criteria in what makes a good CB. I then gave you a counter example of 5'11" Joe Haden and said that speed and reaction can make up for that. If the Cowboys CB struggled, it wasn't because he was 4" shorter than the guy he was covering.

PS Revis from the Jets is also a "shorty". He's 5'11" too. Tell him he's too short to be any good.

I think Pioli has done the best he could with what is available, but this has been a pretty weak draft class for the Chiefs too.

I like Haley, I just think he needs better personnel, but he's used up the ego quota on the sideline so hard to get many others IMO. We have a first time OC and former offensive line coach calling plays down to Jim Zorn who is calling them to Cassel. Offense does poorly leaving the defense on the field too long and then they're exposed too.

Believe Junior... Revis, until Dez Bryant somehow got hurt, he was catching, pushing, blocking, beating past the line of scimmage and in some cases, manhandling Revis. After the injury, you could see he could not run for crap.

My Goodness, you seemed to ALSO be in midseason form when it comes to putting words in peoples mouths today. I NEVER stated that you need height to be a "good cornerback"... I stated the Plaxico's height on coverage was causing major issues because every ball thrown to him was well within reach of Burress and not the much shorter CB. You, for some reason needed to plug your Browns CB for some reason...so good for Mr. Hayden's play yestetday.

I think the lack of all those off season camps due to the lockout have comeback to the entire NFL, both players and team ownership, in the a$$. I have never seen some many season ending injuries.

Dez Bryant should have sat out the 2nd half, Romo kept trying to get him the ball futilely ...

I believe so too...you can clearly see he was no where near as aggressive to break free from the line and was not crisp on his pass routes.

Some controversy brewing over the play that took out Berry.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...that-tore-eric-berrys-acl-wasnt-a-cheap-shot/

With the Chiefs losing safety Eric Berry for the full season after tearing an ACL during a Week One blowout loss to the Bills, the debate has now turned to the question of whether the hit that tore the ligament should result in a fine for Bills receiver Stevie Johnson.

Berry’s camp, we’re told, definitely believes that Johnson should be fined for diving helmet first at Berry’s lower legs while trying to throw a block ahead of the ball carrier. The video clearly shows that Johnson hit Berry low.

Johnson disagrees. Strongly.

Asked via Twitter by “@Mr_Hoosier” whether “God [made] you take a cheap shot on our best player,” Johnson said this: “man shutup U clown ILL NEVER CHEAPSHOT A PLAYER ON THE FIELD! IDC if he my Enemy U Square! Last I checked a cut block was legal!”

Actually, Johnson is right. There’s nothing illegal about diving at a guy’s knees in the open field.

That said, most players wish it were illegal. Last year, after a rash of helmet-to-helmet hits heightened everyone’s sensitivity to defenseless players, several players made it clear that they’d rather be hit high than low, since taking a low hit can tear up a knee — and limit or end a career.

Thus, even though Johnson is unlikely to be fined, Johnson could be subject to scorn from his peers.

MNF Doubleheader tonight.

Last year, I got both games in the Monday night doubleheader wrong- hoping for better luck this time.

I am banking on Bill and Salsa's teams to be road warriors.

That's what I said earlier. I don't know when it will happen, but I see Rob Ryan becoming the next head coach for the Cowboys. I also see Tony Romo's days numbered in Dallas.
