WOW .....

This conversation really got turned around ...

Not at all. You were talking about how 'babied' and 'protected' the QB position is...and I am telling you why. EVERYONE knows THE most important position on the field is the QB position...the league knows that and that is the reasons have changed the rules drastically when it comes to the passing game where the league is no longer a running league but a passing league.

Loved YES... Paid to see them, I doubt it. Face it, no one pays to see defense. Fans love defense, but they pay to see offense.

Come on, this is the steelers I'm talking about. Of course people pay to see them. The Steelers sold their games out with Bubby Brister as the QB and we know they didn't want to see him. IMO people pay to see the whole team not just one player.

Those games were soldout due to tradition. Look at Green Bay. Until recently and Favre's productive years, they had been mediocre since the Barr Starr years... If I am not mistaken, they one of the longest consecutive sellout streaks in all the NFL. Look at the Redskins, they too, ain't very good but their tradition is selling out those games. The Eagles, known for great defense, what put asses in seats is Vick...

An unfortunate report back from the Bills-Broncos game.....

It took me a few hours to get home from that God-forsaken land dump stadium in Buffalo. After some cooling off time, I'm still steamed and appalled at the way Buffalo fans acted. I've never seen anything like it..ever. I've been to NFL & NCAA games in lots of states in this country; playoff games, BCS games, National Championship's; 4 day Metal festivals, raves, hockey games..you get the point.

Buffalo fans all around me were literally cursing "where is your f**** Tebow now kid"...to a 10 year old kid. They did this over and over. For the whole day.

Some guy in the bathroom walked right up to this guy in a Bronco jersey, got right in his face & started screaming at him, trying to start a fight.

Some guy tapped this little boy on the shoulders and told him that he just got a call from Elway and that these players suck so bad he could probably make the team. The kid was maybe 6 years old.

Big fat guy in front of a kid wearing a Bronco jersey said he would not sit down because he had been there for 22 years and he would fight if he had a problem with it.

Fans chanting F Tebow / F Jesus...all around little kids.

I could go on..but I'm too pissed.

The behavior would not bother me as much if there were not so many pre-teen kids around, lots of father's with their young sons, happy to be at a game rooting for their favorite player on Christmas eve...only to be cursed at by this collective group of trash people.

The moral of the story? If you EVER have the chance to support that team, or their stadium, or their economy...remember this. Disgusting.

As for the team - they all sucked today. I was sitting at close to field level and you could hear Buffalo's players taking the fight to them. They were crisper, faster, smarter at all 3 phases. Denver looked collectively miserable as a team as soon as the game started.

I've got some incredible photos my old lady took, I'll post after Christmas.

Its called alcohol...sad but true. I have been to quite a few games there against the Raiders and when they had big games in their hay-day(use to live about 1 hour east and bro-in-law has season tix)....during Raiders games, they were ok.. I knew some scary a$$-whipping Raider fans...but against other teams like the Jets and Dolphins...they would make Eagles fans look like the Mormon Tabernacle Choir! I have seen that ugly side as described above. Not pretty.

i would not be able to handle well a situation like that. so to avoid an issue i know i wouldn't be able to back away from, my butt watches the game at home. i support my teams in different ways now........

Apparently not.

Picking on little kids is the worst.

But lets not assume ALL fans are like this. I mean like I have said, I seen some ugliness...but I am gonna say a small handful. The problem is that small handful can leave such an overwhelming impression that you will think the worst when more than likely its not as many as you think.

We Bills fans are a lot better than that report indicates.

I've been to Buffalo 6 or 7 times to see the Patriots play, including when my son was as young as 8. I've never experienced anything like what was said. And I am sure they hate Tom Brady much more than Tim Tebow.

I would think that clown fans would be the worse when the steelers go there to play, makes the fans in Cleveland sad knowing their team will never be that good. :) :D

They hate the Jets more...believe when I tell you. LOL!

I think bottom line, is that you'll find idiots everywhere, whether there is alcohol involved or not. What about what happened when that Giants fan got beat up at the Dodgers/Giants game? What about what happened on Black Friday with all the fighting going on there? Or how about recently that big fight at Mall of America because there was word going around that 2 rappers were going to be there?

Point is, no matter where you go, whether its a sports event or a mall, you'll find idiots everywhere to ruin a good thing.
