I would have to agree with what Phil Simms said on "inside the nfl" that will air this wednesday. He stated that there is no way, if he was given a say so...that he would allow them to draft Luck. Simms stated that he would have took over his shoulder all the time and the moment he had a bad game, everyone from fans to media would be clamoring for Luck to be given the reins.

So Lions DT Suh and coach Schwartz had a meeting with commissioner Goodell today about how Suh is playing. Here's what Goodell said:
"Ndamukong plays the game with great skill and passion and is a major reason for the Lions' success this year," Goodell said in a statement released by the league. "In the course of our dialogue today, we reviewed video showing that Ndamukong has clearly made the adjustments to play consistently within the rules so that he can continue to help the team. We commend Ndamukong's leadership in taking the initiative to schedule today's meeting."
BTW, Suh was the one who asked to have this meeting.

It's not an excuse. He was not drafted to play right away. McDaniels knew he wasn't ready and wanted to mold him into his Jedi QB. He was to sit the bench behind Orton for a couple of years, and then take over once Orton was gone.

He wasn't a bad QB in college, was he? He just didn't play in a pro style offense and yada yada yada....everyone knows his story, if you don't, look it up.

I'm a BIG picture type of fan, I don't jump on and off players like that very often.
I know most fans don't look at the big picture and they change weekly about thier opinion of thier teams, but not everyone is that way.

I am amazed at the lack of vision some of the NFL talking heads have when it comes to the possibility of Peyton Manning & Andrew Luck on the same team. There is no cosmic law whatsoever that says that they cannot exist together. It is not either/or. Is Peyton's ego so fragile that he cannot coexist with Luck? Come on,it's business. You are talking about a potential future all star(Luck) learning from the master(Manning). Phil Simms,Dungy,& all of the others who say that the Colts,if they get the overall first pick,should either trade the pick away or trade Manning....Either I'm naive,or maybe they know Manning better than anyone else. personally I think they're nuts. I sure hope the world as we know it doesn't end if Luck & Manning end up on the same team TOGETHER.

I get two hyperlinks about the signing, then the rest and/or the rest of the links were all about Tebow being named the starters against the "oakland raiders"..

WTF....??!! My search was for the Raiders...not Tebow.
