LOL...Salsa, not gonna get into it with you once again about "The Call", but I want to ask you a queston instead.

Let's say the Raiders won that fateful game 10 years ago, IN YOUR OPINION would the Raiders have gone into Pittsburgh and defeated th Steelers in the AFCCG?

IF YES, how would they have fared against "The Greatest Show On Turf" in the Super Bowl?

Not trying to be a wise guy, I'd just like to hear your opinion on this. :)

Remember when Tom Brady said he'll put up points but he doesn't know if his defense can stop the other team?

Remember when Patrick Willis said 'I'm not sure we can win with Alex Smith at QB'?

Remember when Derek Jeter said he doubts Yankee pitchers' abilities to come thru in the playoffs?

Remember when Chris Chelios said 'Chris Osgood isn't Dominik Hasek, so goaltending could be a problem in the playoffs'?

Remember when Dwyane Wade said "Lebron James has a history of fourth quarter playoff failure, so we may not be able to win a championship with him'?

Remember when Jason Terry said 'we'll never win anything with a 7-footer who plays 90% of the game away from the basket'?

The answer is no, because none of those people are stupid or arrogant enough to say it....even if they were thinking it.

Sandra

Ben's first year Faneca said we can't win with a rookie QB, well Ben proved him wrong and took the team to the championship game. Flaco needs to prove himself once and for all.

LOL! Thanks Bill... Not going back to that dark place again! Anyway, the team that lost that game was better coached, when they went to the Super Bowl, they won their way to the Super Bowl inspite of the useless coach Bill Callahan.

I thought the team lost the "tuck game" had a better chance of winning it all than the SB team.

I agree. IMO, the Raiders could have beat the Rams (I say this in hindsight now, but I think any of the Pats/Raiders/Steelers could have smacked that ultra-finesse team in the mouth). A Steelers-Raiders game could have went either way (the Pats benefitted from two special teams TD's in that game against the Steelers).

If Flacco himself says it is no big deal, why is it a big deal to anyone else here? LOL! Don't get some people some times....

Of course he's going to say it's not a big deal. What else would you expect? If he says it IS a big deal, the subject will be beat to death even more in the media.

Also... notice how two DEFENSIVE players (Ray Lewis and Terrell Suggs) came to Joe Flacco's defense and NOT anyone on the offense. Hmmmm.....

Yep. It looks like Lewis has the right perspective:

“I think I’m more shocked just how people can speak about somebody who is just a flat-out winner,” Lewis said. “There’s no one side to anything. There’s no one player that makes one team great. It takes a team effort. … A lot of things that people always try to put on the quarterback, I understand it. But it ain’t about our quarterback. It’s about the Baltimore Ravens and we’re a complete team. We win as a team, and we lose as a team.

Not that hard to get, actually. One guy says something low-class, the other guy takes the high road and says something classy.

Flacco wants the story to go away, because at least he knows nothing good will happen if he fires back at Reed, so he says whatever is necessary to make it go away.

Not rocket science.

I wonder perhaps if BillD is really Joe Flacco!!! :D

Class is as class does!

Ok...I can understand the bad timing and the move being ill advised comments.... but explain to me how it's low class when it is someone's opinion?

So if you disagree with my comments, and state YOUR opinion...should I consider that low class? I don't think so... it's your opinion. I mean the area to say it in or the time maybe bad... but I would NOT consider your opinion a "low class" move.

Again, it goes back to that saying of freedom of speech does not me freedom of repercussions... and the statements by Suggs and Lewis shows that. Reed said what he felt(freedom of speech) and Lewis and Suggs gave the more PC approach(repercussions to the free speech).

It's low class BECAUSE of the bad timing and ill advised comment. How hard is that to understand?

Aside from being stupid, criticizing your teammate..ESPECIALLY your QB...before a championship game is low class. That's MY opinion, which you won't change.

And I'm sure I won't change yours.
