AFC Championship Game- Ravens at Patriots- Next Sunday 3:00pm ET on CBS

The Ravens defeated the Pats, 33-14 in Foxboro two years ago in a Wild Card game. However, in that game Brady had none of his three-headed monster. Welker was hurt, and Gronk and Hernandez were just finishing up their college careers.

I don't think there is a team in the AFC this year that could have beaten NE last night. The only teams in the NFC that could have are SF, GB, and maybe NO.

They were also avenging losing in the playoffs three years in a row, and twice at home. They played like no way they were gonna lose again.

The winner (and maybe even loser) of this game is gonna be in the 40's.

Giants playing excellent right now being up by 10, yes 10, to a 15-1 team. I should say the Packers rb DID fumble the ball. Everybody agreed, Buck, Aikman and Pieriera. Also, Lawrence Tynes can give me indigestion. First, he kicks the ball out of bounds and then gets his field goal blocked.

And what a play by Hakeem Nicks!!! You talk about Hernandez and Gronk for the Pats, what about Nicks and Victor Cruz. Where would the Giants be without those 2 guys this year?

Most of my fellow Pats fans were happy that the Niners beat the Saints, and are rooting VERY hard for the Giants to knock out the Packers, for POTENTIAL Super Bowl opponents. I say hogwash!

Brady COULD trade Brees and Rodgers score for score, but the Niners and Giants present problems (especially defensively) those other teams don't.

Of course the Pats have to take care of their own business before this even becomes a debate.

Just look at Alex Smith of SF. It took him seven years to be where he is at right now. Hopefully, with the right coaching staff, Tebow will not take that long to find success in the NFL.

Sorry, wrong example. How many offensive coordinators has Smith..including this year. 7... Horseface will be looking for a QB this season.

The league will as has caught up to how to play Teabow.

Frankly I have/had "Tebow Time/Tebowmania/Tebow fever" burnout. Like I said last night,I didn't care if the Pats would blow the Broncos out(which they did) or if somehow the Broncos would make a comeback & win(which they didn't). I turned the game off & watched the Fringe episode that I recorded the night before. Frankly I don't have an opinion on how he'll do next year. I'll bet that I'm not in the minority on this.

Not surprised at all about this game. The giants usually step it up when they enter the playoffs and have proven they fear no one.Of course the drops and to's by GB doesn't help either.

While I don't blame finley on that one, just adds to the year he is having

I wanted to point something out that I forgot and now remember...was that Packer fans I heard booing at the end of the half?! Really? Seriously?!

I WANT the Giants.

Ravens, redemption from 2009

Giants, redemption from 2007

Wow, another turnover. Packers don't want to win.

When you have the worse defense you just can't afford to make any mistakes offensively. I don't remember the last time I saw the gb offense with so many drops.

The defense did not do them in...the TOs did.

...that's right, Alex Smith went deeper in the playoffs than Aaron Rogers! And it is now safe to say Coughlin won't be going anywhere anytime soon...

Look at Mark Sanchez, how much is him & how much is the caching staff? Maybe 50-50.

I think you bring up a very good question. I don't know if you can even quantify those two elements because there are so many variables and intangibles involved in this game. But if I have to guess, I think it's more the quarterback than the coaching staff because the quarterbacks execute the plays and make the critical decisions on the field. In my opinion, great quarterbacks doesn't require a whole lot of coaching, the talent and capabilities are just inherent. But that's only an opinion as a fan of this game, I could be wrong.
