Plus, as has been said, if they do that, you will see true gimme games scheduled vs the occasional OOC matchups that we see now. Say goodbye to Bama/Penn State, Florida/Florida State, ect. No need to risk those potential losses.

Teams do that now. Penn St. dropped Pitt from their regular rotation as did Florida with Miami and in turn cycle cream puffs through their schedules. If the Florida legislature would let them drop FSU, they probably would.

In actuality, a playoff would result in teams scheduling bigger OOC games to increase exposure, as those games would have no bearing on the playoffs, since conference champs would get automatic bids (same as happens in B-Ball).

Wilbon on PTI is comparing Denard Robinson to Michael Vick "in his prime at VT".

Count them on Saturday, not many seniors or juniors out there. Make sure to watch the second stringers - all underclassmen. Very young, extremely inexperienced. One thing in common - they all run like deer. Fastest team I've seen since Florida St. during the Amp Lee years (Mid 90's I think.)

I think if a team goes undefeated and nobody else does then they should be in the championship game. Doesn't matter what conference they are in. Let them prove me wrong in the title game.

I disagree. Because if THAT is the case, every signle major power will go to a cream puff schedule to go undefeated.

The better the record against the better schedule, should be rewarded....

Why after the bowl games? It is not like anyone in the playoff will participate in a bowl.

Because the presidents all want the Bowls to be preserved.

Thats why the playoffs would come AFTER the bowls.

No one can convince me BSU has any business getting in a BCS game. Over the weekend I saw Sabam state it similar to the Gameday crew. BSU has talent however the need to get up for one or two ranked teams. However unlike Big Ten, SEC, ACC or Pac-10 teams they don't face 4-6 ranked teams.

I agree. However, that likely won't stop them from making the championship if they win out and someone above them stumbles.

I understand but you don't need it to be after the bowls. You really think that if Ohio State was in the playoff they would actually play in a bowl game? No way they would play and possibly have an injury that takes them out of the championship hunt. You would lose the top 8 from the bowl schedule.

We all love watching a stud athlete on the gridiron, but Michigan is big trouble if they can't find someone else (e.g, a running back) to move the ball down the field and---more importantly---the coaching staff is going to physical break this kid. At least Robinson should get some rest as the Wolverines are getting ready to play three soft opponents.

Depends on which method you go with. If it is conference champions with at large teams you wouldnt.

No, actually I agree. The ACC was pretty crappy for several years after Tech's national title.

I would have used FSU as my example, but I was having fun with Salsa.

You don't think that DB Rod cares about his players, do you? I used to respect UM, however, that went down the sewer when they hired him.

While Robinson may be talented, a few more games like last Saturday will wreck him physically. ND does not have a defense like some of the teams they will play this season.

Miami and FSU's conferences were effing jokes in the 90's.

They were the only ones who gave a crap about football in a pair of basketball conferences.

Really?! When Miami was in the Big East, AS STATED...there was:

VaTech
Syracuse
Pitt
West Virginia
Boston College

That does not sound weak to me. Those teams were pretty good AND ranked teams.
