2010 NBA Playoffs

the BS that BSPN is giving to LeBron elbowgate story is unbelievable. There aren't teams missing several players, #1 overall draft picks, etc in the playoffs, only a Cavs team with a player who has a boo boo

Michael Redd is pretty imoortant to the Bucks. I thought they lost someone else near the end of the season, but I don't recall who.

Spurs eliminate the Mavs. It's the first time ever that a #7 seed won a first round series.

Looks like Saturday night's schedule will be:

8:00 ET- Boston at Cleveland .....Game 1 (TNT)

10:30 ET- Portland at Phoenix.....Game 7 OR San Antonio at Phoenix......Game 1 (TNT)

I think it was the first time a 7 seed won a first round best of seven, not the first time winning in the first round.
i hope lebron took notes on how you act after losing a series. you shake hands and respect the winner, not cry like a baby

I guess the Spurs proved me wrong.

They looked off at times this year- and when they got blown out at Orlando, I left them for dead.

Well, I guess the old guys still had some life left in their legs (though they have a tendency to fritter away large leads- if they are going to go far, they HAVE to solve this and put the foot on the throat).

I was very dissapointated to see Dallas go out early- I had them going to the West Finals.

Now, the question: will this spring be San Antonio's last shot at a title? The window is still open- but for how long?

If they draw Phoenix, you could call it "The Battle of the teams fighting for what could be their last crack at a title"

Why do you guys get so hung up on what players do after a loss, and who shakes hands with who? Jeez, it's a basketball game, not a soap opera.

The winning team seems to survive if the other team does not genuflect to them at the right time after a loss, why do your feelings get so hurt? You want emotional drama, watch Desperate Housewives.

Something is wrong when a woman has to tell you to 'man up'...

LA is jealous of LeBron's elbow. Leave him alone. ;)

When we were talking "teams" yesterday, the Spurs are a "team" in every aspect. This series proved it once again. The Mavs, like the Hawks and Wizards of old are just a collection of talent.

In case anyone was wondering, winning 2 consecutive MVP awards is a very rare achievement and put's James in a rather distinguished class....

James is the 10th NBA player to be the MVP in consecutive seasons. The 25-year-old star joins Bill Russell, Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Moses Malone, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan and Steve Nash.

Suns and Spurs- The Battle of the teams that have a chance to take advantage of a championship window of opportunity that is still open for now.

Phoenix has what could be their last shot at a title with their core, and they get another shot at the team that has haunted them.

I'm going to pick Suns in 6. Like the Colts with the Patriots or the Red Sox with the Yankees, this has the feel of a 'Time to slay the dragon that dashed our championship hopes for years' series.

Wow, it sure got quiet from Oklahoma all of a sudden...all it took was one game and all of the singing stopped! ;)

I think the Thunda can win tonight, but as I said earlier, I'll belive they can win in LA when I see it.

As for the Cavs-Celtics, I am going Cleveland in 5.

LeBron and Cleveland are on a mission, and they are a more complete team than Miami.

Nonetheless, like Chicago, the games will be close on the scoreboard. Just because a series goes 4 or 5 games doesn't mean it's always going to be lopsided.

Perfect analogy! :up

In fact, it occurred to me last night watching the Red Wings-Sharks game that:

Red Wings= Spurs...............and............Sharks=Mavericks
