2010 NBA Playoffs

For those unfamiliar with LeBron's fascination with the dramatic, he spoke about his elbow last night after the game. From the real LeBron....

Also, LeBron's elbow has been flaring up all throughout the playoffs, yet he's shown no sign of it effecting him. Case and point: Sunday -- the game where he had 37 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists on 13-of-19 shooting -- he had it examined. He was at the Cleveland Clinic on Monday and got an MRI and an X-ray.The results were "unremarkable." In other words, there is nothing significantly wrong.

What about the left-handed free throw, you ask?

It's obvious from watching the last couple games what's wrong with James' elbow: Pretendonitis

Not Pre-tendonitis, but Pretend-onitis.

Bucks go into Atlanta and win game 5.

Bucks lead the series 3-2.

I admit this one surprises me! I thought the Hawks would win this series rather easily.

The Hawks are officially the biggest farce team in the NBA. The are loaded with INDIVIDUAL talent, but have little TEAM talent. Here is Milwaukee playing their collective a$$ off AND missing their starting center....and still spanking a more talented set of individuals in Atlanta....

I agree with this, and I do not think Mike Woodsen is a good coach either. Their home court advantage is also not good...not a good playoff atmosphere in that building. Joe Johnson needs to come to the Knicks!

That said, the Hawks certainly have the man-power to take two in a row from a hard-working but flawed Bucks team.

They DO have the talent to do this....but as a team, I doubt they can.

At this point it looks like either way, Orlando will have a walk-over to the ECF. If Atlanta does somehow survive this series, they've shown they will fold at the first sign of adversity against a good Orlando team, and Milwaukee would simply be no match without Bogut.

The Hawks remind me of the Wizards of a few years ago. A ton of individual talent (Gilbert Arenas, Antwan Jamison, Caron Butler), but together they don't form a good team.

The Bucks would be no match for the Magic WITH Bogut.

The jury is still very much out on the Magic replacing Hedo Turkoglu with Vince Carter. Hedo was so important for Orlando in the playoffs last year, let's see if Carter can replicate that peformance this year.

update FROM LeBron's elbow via twitter....

To answer alot of the questions...yes, my BFF is Jay-Z's elbow. We have season passes to Busch Gardens together.

MRI Results back. Just what I thought. They found no damage, a autograph from Jesus, the tears of Joakim Noah and a lightning bolt.

Reason I went numb... At halftime I took a Claritan D and had a glass of wine.... sue me, it's allergy season.

LeBron is watching Homeward Bound, his favorite movie BTW, so I am covered in tissues because he can't hold his tears in like a big boy...

Had a good day. I feel fine but apparently they are going to poke me and do more tests tomorrow. I hate Doctors, they smell like apricots.

LeBron is sleeping... He's gunna be super mad when he find's out I just ordered 20 shake weights of the TV...

Off to get zapped with electrodes and microwaves at the Clinic AGIAN. Not happy. I am not a hot pocket.

Dwight Howard Can't Keep His Mouth Shut

Fined $35k for comments on his blog...

"I'm not looking to say anything to get myself in trouble with the league, but I just don't see other star players getting called for fouls the way I get them," Howard posted on his blog. "No star player in the league is outta games the way I am."

"I mean, it was almost comical at times how I was getting fouls called on me," Howard wrote. "There was nothing I could do [out] there and I felt like I couldn't even move without getting that whistle blown on me."

The fact that Howard get's fouls called on him is one thing, but he's ALWAYS arguing with the ref's following the calls and often get's a technical out of it. For this reason, opposing teams always try to get in his head. Howard is now 24, but he still isn't mentally strong to realize that he's doing more harm than good by arguing...

Perhaps if Howard had learned the proper footwork to play both offense and defense in the low post, he would get the benefit of more foul calls. Seems like he still plays the exact same way he did when he first came into the league, relying on his jumping ability and athletic prowess at both ends of the court.

Howard is not progressing as a basketball player.

Official Update on LeBron's Elbow from the team...

UPDATE: LeBron has a strain of his right elbow and a bone bruise of his olecranon. He will undergo daily treatments and revaluation and a repeat MRI will be performed next week. It is not anticipated that he would miss any playing time.

I just hope the Celtics and Cavs play a clean series and he doesn't bang it again.

MRI to be done on Nene's knee

Lost in the LeBron elbow talk, last night, Denver Nugget center, Nene hurt his knee...

DENVER -- Nuggets center Nene is undergoing medical tests on his injured left knee amid concerns that he tore his ACL in the first half of Denver's Game 5 win over the Utah Jazz.

An MRI on Thursday will determine the severity of the injury. The Nuggets called it a sprain after the game but there was deep concern among his teammates and the coaching staff that Nene suffered a serious injury.
